Whale sharks or butanding has been a word of mouth to every tourist visiting the Philippines. These slow-moving filter feeding sharks are the largest extant fish species. Although these creatures have enormous mouths, like the Great White Sharks and Killer Whales, their meals are mainly, but not exclusively, planktons and other microscopic plants and animals.
Giants they may be, but these are among the gentlest of creatures populating tropical seas preferring warm waters. Swimming among them is surely an exciting and unforgettable experience. These experiences is widely known to tourists visiting the Philippines, boosting the country’s tourism and making Donsol, Sorsogon as the Whale Shark Capital of the Philippines.
