𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!

𝐌𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐒

𝗜. 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲:
The Inter-organization Live Storytelling Competition aims to promote appreciation of books and encourage reading among learners, develop students’ creativity and communication skills through expressive storytelling, and highlight the role of libraries as spaces that nurture imagination, curiosity, and learning.

𝗜𝗜. 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀:
1. 𝙀𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮:
- The competition is open to all bona fide college students of Silliman University.
- Each organization may send one (1) representative but not more than (3) to the competition.

2. 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣
- The story must be based on a manuscript written by a Filipino or local author in the English language.
- Materials can be from the SU Library specifically from the Filipiniana Section or from their personal collection.
- The chosen short story should promote Filipino values, culture, or life lessons suitable for general audiences.
- Each participant must submit a copy of the manuscript of the story to the organizers prior to the contest.

3. 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨
- Each participant will be given 8–10 minutes to read and perform their story.
- Storytellers are encouraged to use costumes, props, and minimal background music or sound effects to enhance their performance.
- Reading directly from the manuscript during the presentation is allowed.
- Participants must ensure that their materials and performance are appropriate for an academic audience.

4. 𝙅𝙪𝙙𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖:
- Mastery and Delivery (voice, expression, confidence): 40%
- Interpretation and Creativity (use of gestures, movement, and props): 30%
- Choice of Story (relevance, literary value, and audience impact): 20%
- Overall Impact (stage presence and engagement): 10%
TOTAL: 100%

5. 𝙊𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨
- The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
- All participants are requested to be at the venue 30 minutes before the competition begins.
- Certificates of participation will be given to all contestants.
- The organizers reserve the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with the above guidelines.

The Silliman University Library System proudly presents an exciting double-feature celebration as part of the 91st National Book Week with the theme "𝐓𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐬𝐚."

We invite everyone to an inspiring afternoon with local author 𝗠𝗿. 𝗚𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗻 and the vibrant storytelling talents of our student organizations!
