🇵🇭BJMP Negros Oriental Joins the 128th Philippine Independence Day Celebration 🇵🇭👮

On June 12, 2026, at around 6:45 AM, BJMP Negros Oriental participated in the 128th Philippine Independence Day Flag Raising and Wreath Laying Ceremony held at Freedom Park, Capitol Area, Dumaguete City, spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental in coordination with the PMCC.

The activity brought together representatives from various national government agencies and local government units, including the DILG, PNP, BFP, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Army, and other partner agencies, fostering patriotism, solidarity, and inter-agency cooperation. During the program, Honorable Manuel L. Sagarbarria, Governor of Negros Oriental, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of freedom, unity, patriotism, and continued dedication to public service.

BJMP Negros Oriental was represented by eighteen (18) personnel led by JCINSP ROLY D BANDELING, District Jail Warden of Guihulngan District Jail, on behalf of the BJMP Provincial Administrator of Negros Oriental. The ceremony paid tribute to the sacrifices of Filipino heroes and underscored the values of freedom, unity, and collective responsibility in nation-building.

As one nation, we honor our past, celebrate our freedom, and reaffirm our commitment to serving the Filipino people.

📚🤝 Supporting Education Through Brigada Eskwela 2026 🤝👮

On June 3, 2026, at approximately 9:50 AM, two (2) personnel from the Provincial Jail Administrator's Office (PJAO) of Negros Oriental, under the leadership of JCINSP RONER A SIJUB, BJMP Provincial Administrator of Negros Oriental, participated in Brigada Eskwela 2026 at West City Elementary School in support of the school's preparations for the opening of classes.

As part of the activity, the team donated cleaning materials and two (2) reams of bond paper to help ensure a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment for students and teachers. The donated items were graciously received by Ms. Catherine V. Unto, Project Development Officer I of West City Elementary School, who warmly accommodated the team during the visit.

This initiative reflects our continued commitment to community partnership and support for quality education. Together, we can help create a better learning environment for our future generations.

✨STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIP THROUGH SPORTS 👮

On March 14, 2026, the AFPSLAI Dumaguete Branch successfully officiated the Inter-Agency Pickleball Friendship Tournament, bringing together various uniformed services including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Army, and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The activity served as a venue to promote physical fitness and overall wellness among personnel, while strengthening camaraderie, unity, and teamwork across participating agencies. Through friendly yet competitive matches, participants exemplified discipline, sportsmanship, and mutual respect—values essential in the effective delivery of public service.

Notably, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) secured 3rd Place (SJO3 Ian Angelo C Bernadas & JO3 Von Vendrick Taladua)🥈🏓👮 in the tournament, demonstrating determination, teamwork, and resilience among its personnel. Congratulations to all the top finishers for their outstanding performance and exemplary sportsmanship. 🎉👏

On February 28, 2026, final honors were rendered for the late SJO4 Raymundo S Gaga-a (Ret.), as BJMP personnel solemnly carried him to his final resting place with dignity and respect.

Your service will never be forgotten.

📜 SIGNING OF DEED OF DONATION 🤝

On January 15, 2026, the signing of the Deed of Donation was successfully conducted between Hon. GALICANO A TRUITA, Municipal Mayor of Dauin, Negros Oriental and JCSUPT BRENDAN O FULGENCIO, Regional Director of BJMP–NIR, marking another milestone in strengthening cooperation between the Local Government Unit of Dauin and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology. The event was held in the presence of Hon. ALVIN V TRUITA, Vice Mayor of Dauin; JSUPT JULIE V AUXILIO, Provincial Jail Administrator of Negros Oriental; JCINSP RONER A SIJUB, BJMP–NIR Regional Engineer; and Atty. Jerome T Arado, (Notary Public).

The acceptance of the donated lot reaffirmed the BJMP’s mandate to provide orderly, secure, and rehabilitative services, ensuring that the future facility will support the welfare, safety, and reformation of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

This partnership reflects the shared commitment of LGU Dauin and BJMP–NIR to strengthen jail administration, public service, and community development.

🧹 Clean-Up Drive | KALINISAN sa Bagong Pilipinas 🧹

On December 20, 2025, starting at 6:00 AM, the Provincial Management Coordinating Committee (PMCC) member agencies actively participated in the Clean-Up Drive for the KALINISAN sa Bagong Pilipinas Program, conducted as part of the nationwide KALINISAN initiative under DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2023-133. The activity took place at Barangay Buñao, Dumaguete City.

The event highlighted strong inter-agency cooperation and a shared commitment to environmental responsibility, with thirteen (13) personnel from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) joining the effort.

Through initiatives like this, PMCC member agencies continue to promote cleanliness, discipline, and collective responsibility, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable community. 🌱💪

🏓 PMCC Pickleball Tournament 2025 🏓

On December 18, 2025, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Negros Oriental, led by Provincial Director Farah Diba G. Gentuya, in close partnership with the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental, successfully conducted the PMCC Pickleball Tournament at Balugo Gymnasium, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

The tournament brought together all Provincial Management Coordinating Committee (PMCC) member agencies, highlighting strong inter-agency collaboration, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.

🎉 CY 2025 Provincial Search for Outstanding Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs), Barangay Peace and Order Committees (BPOCs), Barangay Tanod Teams (BTTs), and Lupong Tagapamayapa Awarding Ceremony 🎉

On December 15, 2025 (Monday) at 9:00 AM, the Plenary Hall, Negros Oriental Convention Center, Dumaguete City became the venue for the recognition of our outstanding BADACs, BPOCs, BTTs, and Lupong Tagapamayapa.
During the awarding ceremony, the BJMP was honored with a Plaque of Recognition for their unwavering commitment and invaluable support as part of the Provincial Search Committee. Special recognition was given to SJO3 Ian Angelo C Bernadas, who represented the Provincial Jail Administrator’s Office, for the bureau’s significant contributions, which played a vital role in the successful conduct of the 2025 Search for Outstanding BPOCs, BADACs, and BTTs.
