The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) โ Negros Island Region, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), successfully conducted the Ceremonial Turn-Over of Seed Capital Fund (SCF) and Distribution of DSWD Certificates of Accreditation on August 7, 2026, benefiting Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) from the Municipality of Santa Catalina, Bayawan City, and the Municipality of Basay, Negros Oriental.
A total of โฑ5,200,000.00 in Seed Capital Fund was awarded to 10 SLP Associations, providing financial assistance to establish and strengthen their community enterprises and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for their members.
The beneficiary SLP Associations are:

The distribution of the DSWD Certificates of Accreditation further recognizes these associations' compliance with program standards, enabling them to access government support and opportunities for enterprise development.
This milestone highlights the strong partnership between DSWD Negros Island Region, the Local Government Units of Santa Catalina, Bayawan City, and Basay, and the SLP Associations in advancing inclusive, sustainable, and community-driven livelihood initiatives.
