IN PHOTOS | The successful conduct of 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐍’𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 was held last May 21–22, 2026, at Farmbelle Resort, Calabnugan, Sibulan, Negros Oriental.

For two meaningful days, children from Dumaguete City enjoyed fun-filled activities, learning sessions, and moments that fostered friendship, and confidence. The activity served as a safe and meaningful space where every child felt valued, empowered, and celebrated.

𝟮𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗕𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗨𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗧𝗘Ñ𝗢𝗦

The City Government of Dumaguete, under the leadership of Mayor Manuel T. Sagarbarria, successfully completed the second round of the Rice Subsidy Distribution on April 20 - May 5, 2026, benefiting households in Dumaguete City.

Through the coordinated efforts of barangay officials and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), qualified households received 12.5 kilos of rice, providing much-needed food assistance and helping families cope with rising daily expenses.

This initiative reflects the city government’s continued commitment to ensuring that support reaches every community—strengthening food security and uplifting the welfare of Dumagueteños.

IN PHOTOS | Held last May 5, 2026, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) officially commenced the Repair and Improvement of the Women’s Center – Installation of Roofing at the Roof Deck (Phase 1) located at the 3rd floor of CSWDO, Dumaguete City. The blessing ceremony was graced by Hon. Manuel T. Sagarbarria together with CSWDO Head Ms. Lilibeth A. Filipinas, RSW, in the presence of department heads, partner offices, and CSWDO personnel. The project signifies the City Government’s steadfast commitment to strengthening programs and facilities that promote the welfare, protection, and empowerment of women in the community. Through this development, the Women’s Center is envisioned to become a more conducive and functional venue for various social welfare services, gender-responsive initiatives, and community engagements that will greatly benefit the people of Dumaguete City.

The City Government of Dumaguete, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office, successfully conducted the Solo Parents Day Celebration on April 18, 2026, at San Isidro Labrador Parish, Barangay Talay, Dumaguete City.

The activity was graced by Hon. Maria Marife L. Cordova, City Councilor, who delivered an inspirational message emphasizing the importance of strengthening support systems for solo parents. Also present was CSWD Officer Ms. Lilibeth A. Filipinas, RSW.

Key highlights of the event included the presentation of programs and services from various partner agencies, namely: PhilHealth, Department of Health – NIR, National Housing Authority, Dumaguete City Local Civil Registrar’s Office, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Education – NIR, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

In addition, participants benefited from free services such as massage, haircut, manicure, and pedicure, rendered by the students and graduates of the City Livelihood and Home Industries Development Office.

This initiative underscores the City Government’s continued commitment to promote the welfare and well-being of solo parents through accessible programs and collaborative service delivery.
