And just like that, our 2-Day Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) held on August 27–28, 2026 has officially wrapped! 🎉

In collaboration with LTO Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR), TESDA Regional Training Center–Talisay successfully equipped our learners with essential knowledge on traffic rules, road safety, and responsible driving. 🚘🛣️

👥 119 enrollees
📜 99 earned their TDC Certificate of Completion
🚗 Others already had their driver’s licenses—Attended as refresher course! 😉
⭐ 100% Satisfactory Program Evaluation

We’re on the final day of the 2-Day FREE Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) here at TESDA Regional Training Center–Talisay, in partnership with LTO–Negros Island Region! 🙌 Opening remarks were delivered by Mr. John Robert G. Ronquillo, Supervising TESD Specialist, followed by the introduction of our resource speakers by Mr. June Arthur P. Banagodos.

Sharing their driving knowledge across the two-day course are Ms. Ruth T. Ohoylan, Head of the Driver’s Education Center–LTO NIR, and Ms. Jane P. Auque, Lecturer at the Driver’s Education Center–LTO NIR. From traffic rules to defensive driving and road safety, we’re learning today to drive safer tomorrow. 🚦👀

𝐖𝐂𝐎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑𝐒, 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒, 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒!

The World Café of Opportunities (WCO) 2026 successfully brought together jobseekers, employers, government agencies, and TVET stakeholders on August 24, 2026, at the Activity Center of Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Bacolod City, as part of the celebration of TESDA’s 32nd Anniversary.

Facilitated by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in partnership with TESDA Negros Occidental Provincial Office, the activity provided a venue where jobseekers could explore employment opportunities while accessing various government and TESDA-related services.

A major component of the event was the Local and Overseas Job Fair, which connected jobseekers with participating employers and recruitment agencies. For qualified applicants, the event also provided opportunities for Hired-on-the-Spot (HOTS) employment.

Beyond employment opportunities, the WCO also brought together other essential services, including government services, the release of allowances for TESDA scholars, and skills demonstrations conducted by TESDA scholars and TVET trainers/faculty members.

The activity highlighted the importance of bringing employment, government assistance, and skills development opportunities together in one accessible venue. It also demonstrated how partnerships among government agencies, employers, and TVET stakeholders can help create more opportunities for Filipino workers and jobseekers.

As TESDA marks 32 years of service, the success of WCO 2026 reflects the continuing commitment to provide relevant skills, connect people to opportunities, and support Filipinos in building better livelihoods and careers.

TESDA NIR - Negros Oriental, in partnership with Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Dumaguete, celebrates TESDA's 32nd Anniversary with the conduct of World Cafè of Opportunities through a Local and Overseas Job Fair on 25 of August 2026 at Robinsons Dumaguete.

More than just employment opportunities, the celebration brought a wide range of programs and services closer to the people. Frontline services from National Government Agencies (NGAs), skills demonstrations, TESDA Skills Passport registration, Career Guidance, EBET opportunities, and training enrollment were made available to TVET graduates, aspiring trainees, jobseekers, and the public.

The celebration of National Tech-Voc Day stands as a testament to TESDA’s continuing commitment to bringing quality TVET, employment opportunities, and essential government services closer to the NegOrenses.

Together, we continue to build a skilled, empowered, and employment-ready workforce for Negros Oriental! 💙💛
