MEETING WITH CHIEFS OF OFFICES| Mayor Raul Famor called a meeting with the chiefs of offices on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the Municipal Mayor's Office, to plan for benchmarking in Maramag, Bukidnon on May 19 to 21, to improve local governance by adopting best practices from Local Government Unit of Maramag with focus areas in agriculture, tourism, development programs, and efficiency in public service.

TRADITIONAL FLAG RAISiNG CEREMONY| The Municipal Mayors Office hosted the traditional flag raising ceremony on Monday, May 11. The heads of offices made important announcements about their programs and activities during the activity.

The Rural Health Unit (RHU) announced that the month of May is observing Hypertension Awareness Month and urged Local Government Unit (LGU) personnel to adopt strict, positive measures to manage their blood pressure. The RHU also announced that their office is providing free blood pressure check-ups to LGU personnel, to promote early detection of hypertension and promote healthy lifestyle among local employees.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also advised all employees to take extreme precautions as Zamboanga del Sur continues to experience easterlies winds and the heat index in the province reached 41ยฐC.

Engr. Erasmo Superales, the Municipal Engineer presented the civil and electrical engineering students who are on the job training at their office.

3-DAY TAKE-OFF SEMINAR| The Local Government Unit of Dumalinao conducted a 3-day take-off seminar for the preparation of Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) on May 6 to 8, 2026 at LGU Multi-Function Hall, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

The seminar attended by Mayor Raul Famor, Vice Mayor Lorenzo Alcantara, Sangguniang Bayan Officials, Heads of Offices, and Punong Barangays, was intended to initiate the 3-6 year development roadmap for the Local Government Unit (LGU). It also highlighted on data collection, information gathering, strategic planning, and organizing sectoral teams to address social, economic, infrastructure, environmental, and institutional concerns in the barangays of the municipality.

The sectoral plans, policies, programs, and projects are consolidated for implementation in the barangays of the town.

BENCHMARKING ACTIVITY| BENCHMARKING ACTIVITY| LGU officials of Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay conducted a benchmarking of local traffic ordinances and CCTV implementation with LGU-Dumalinao on Thursday, May 7, to adopt best practices and enhance traffic management and security in their town.

The team led by Vice Mayor Gerald Acosta, MDRRM officer Leopoldo Argallon, Sangguniang Bayan Officials , SB Secretary, Legislative Staff, and P/Capt. Leonardo Pedrano, Jr., chief of Police also paid a courtesy call on Mayor Raul Famor at the Municipal Mayorโ€™s Office, and observed the CCTV security cameras at the 2nd Floor of the Municipal Building.

Knowledge-sharing sessions were also held between the Traffic Management Division Head and local leaders of LGU, Siay, to adopt successful strategies in the field of traffic management.

Welcoming a new chapter for the Dumalinao Field Office.

On May 6, 2026, the installation of the new MLGOO was successfully held in the presence of distinguished officials and guests. The event was graced by the OIC Provincial Director of DILG, Sir Dave M. Barrot, Mayor Raul F. Famor, Acting Municipal Administrator Jose Felix A. Pasay, outgoing Concurrent MLGOO Teresita A. Catalbas, Cluster 2 Head and incoming MLGOO Philip B. Cuevas, together with DILG personnel and LGU employees who witnessed this meaningful transition of leadership.

As we welcome the incoming MLGOO, we also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing officer for her dedication and service to the Municipality of Dumalinao. May this new leadership continue to strengthen responsive governance, public service, and community development for the people of Dumalinao.

SEARCH FOR DUMALINAO 2026 MEETING| The committee on Search for Miss Dumalinao 2026 convened on Monday, May 4 at the Municipal Mayorsโ€™ Office, to discuss and finalize the financial incentives for the possible potential winners, focusing on harmonizing the prizes with existing funds, sponsorship opportunities, and operational expenses.

The meeting was attended by Mayor Raul Famor, to show support for the pageant on June 15.

TRADITIONAL FLAG RAISING CEREMONY| Joemar Suganob, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (MDRRMO) presented the accomplishment report of their office in the 1st quarter during Monday flag-raising ceremony on Monday, May 4, 2026 highlighting their disaster risk reduction efforts, training, and emergency responses to local officials and employees, barangay officials and constituents of the 30 barangays of the municipality.

The Bureau of Fire Protection also presented their 1st Quarter accomplishment report.

Vice Mayor Lorenzo Alcantara, also informed the officials and employees of the invitation letter from Father Elpedio Luza, the Parish Priest of San Isiddro Labrador inviting the local government unit (LGU) to support the activities of the feast day of San Isidro Labrador on May 15.

Alcantara also announced the scheduled joint session of Sangguniang Bayan of Tigbao and Sangguniang Bayan of Dumalinao today, to discuss the boundary conflict and to amicably resolve territorial disputes between the two municipalities.
