A two-day training session was orchestrated by the MDRRMO Dumangas, involving their team and led by Mr. Steve Michael Docdocil, a Nurse Paramedic and DOH-certified Trainer, for the DPWH's 2nd district office.
This instructional program is geared towards bolstering the medical teams' proficiencies and revitalizing their aptitudes for managing disasters and emergencies. Their performance in this training will be assessed during their subsequent quarterly drill.

The two days emoasizes the new updates and common emergencies in evaluating the patient assessment

A collision incident occurred in Barangay PD Monfort South, Dumangas, Iloilo. Three individuals sustained minor injuries. Two ambulances were dispatched by the team, and first aid was administered, following which the injured parties were transported to the nearest hospitals.

As of 8:00 PM today, 23 August 2026, the Tropical Depression with international name "GAENARI" (formerly "NENENG") is being monitored OUTSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, the Tropical Depression (formerly LPA 08h) is being monitored OUTSIDE the PAR.

The Typhoon with international name "SAUDEL" is also being monitored OUTSIDE the PAR.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

Per Rainfall Advisory No. 13 issued by PAGASA Visayas PRSD at 5:00am today, August 19, 2026, Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring light to moderate to ocassionally heavy rains is expected over the Municipality of Dumangas which may experience within the next 1 to 2 hours.

In line with this, the recommendation of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) to suspend classes in all levels in the Municipality of Dumangas today, August 19, 2026, is hereby approved to ensure the safety and well-being of students and the general public.
