In her statement, Sis Annie Geron emphasized the urgent need to review and increase the current allowance pointing out that it is no longer sufficient to support the daily needs of workers especially with the rising cost of living.

She stressed that the allowance should be adjusted to reflect the real economic situation and ensure that employees are properly supported.

In addition, she also raised another important concern regarding the working conditions and overall welfare of employees emphasizing that support should not be limited to financial aspects alone but should also include a safe, fair and humane working environment.

Overall, her message calls for more equitable and holistic support for workers specially in the Public Sector. ✊

PSLINK–PUBLIK calls for:
✔️ Immediate increase of the Personnel Economic Relief Allowance (PERA) from ₱2,000 to ₱7,000 per month
✔️ A fair Salary Standardization Law that equalizes pay between national and local government employees
