In this beautiful time of celebration, bilang bugalon nga mga inanak sang aton pinalangga nga banwa, our love for Dumangas grows even deeper and stronger. Dumangas is not just a place we were born, raised, educated and called to served, it will forever remain as our sole identity, our pride, and our continuing source of inspiration.

May this 2026 town fiesta celebration marked by camaraderie and togetherness brought by family reunions, alumni homecomings, balik-barangay and balik-banwa further strengthen our bonds as a united community with one spirit and one purpose guided by love, peace, hope, democracy and cooperation while upholding our rich traditions, vibrant culture and local heritage through Agro-Industrial, Cultural Fair and Sports Festival.

Given a "𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐃𝐎" alongside outstanding public servants from across the Philippines is overwhelming. This honor is not mine alone. This is for my kasimanwas, whose trust and belief fuel my purpose; for my LGU and colleagues, who choose to continue working alongside me for the greater good; for every individual who inspires me to serve with a heart, honor and dignity; for my family (hubby, kids, nanay, siblings esp Former Mayor now VM Onal) whose unwavering support gives me strength; and above all, to my Lord, who continually guides and sustains me.

This distinction in a setting where expectations are high, challenges are real and opportunities can be limited, affirms that public service anchored in commitment, compassion, truth, humility, integrity, accountability and purpose - always find its way forward. It is a reminder that sincere and transparent service naturally rises to be seen, heard, felt, and valued.

As a servant leader, I carry not only the trust and confidence of my kasimanwas, but also the voice and strength of the only woman in our Sangguniang Bayan—serving with courage, upholding equality, defending truth, and leading with purpose and dignity.

I firmly believe that making a difference in people’s lives is not always defined by position or title. It is shaped by dedication, strengthened by resilience, and guided by a personal calling: the conscience choice to think good, speak good and do good; to continue serving with humility and conviction; and to stand firm in upholding a government that is for the people, of the people, and by the people.

It is with my deepest gratitude that I thank the Saludo Excellence Award organizers for honoring public servants like me in our pursuit of service above self. I likewise extend my heartfelt appreciation to my unknown nominator, whose quiet recognition of my humble way of serving my town and my kasimanwas made this unexpected and meaningful moment possible.

𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥, 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥, 𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 2026.

As we join the global celebration of the International Women’s Day 03/08/26, I stand in my role as the sole "TINGOG SANG KABABAIN-HAN" sa konseho sang Dumangas - representing the voice of every mother, wife, daughter, and grandmother sang aton banwa.

While women are often defined by their resilience in many roles, I am no exception. Carrying the responsibility of a public servant is a duty I hold with constant and steadfast dedication. Although my roles as Chairperson of the SB Committees on Women, Education, and NGOs have ceased, and my committee assignments are gone, my commitment to serve within my humble capacity, jurisdiction, and limits remains unshaken.

Ari lang ako diri—to listen, to act, to speak, and to serve, not only for women and their families, but for all other sectors of our community. This is a commitment reflected in a track record that speaks for itself:
✅ 30+ Ordinances authored and presented, plus 70+ Resolutions in the first 6 months of this term (2025–2028), with more still in progress.
✅ 63 Enacted Laws and hundreds of legislations over 9 years of service across 3 terms (2013–2022).
✅ A continuous legacy of productivity, visibility, and active representation.

The legislative measures that I have done and continue to do are driven by a simple conviction: to do good without restraint. With this, as the only woman in our legislative body, I believe that leadership is clearly not defined solely by a position, a title, or political power. It is a "calling" and a "mandate". It is about bringing a tangible impact to the lives of our kasimanwas, the Dumangasanons and our beloved town, Dumangas. I have embraced both, and I am committed to continuing my service as the TINGOG SANG KABABAIN-HAN of the Municipality of Dumangas—upholding a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
