Madayag Leaps to Victory, Bags Two Golds and a Silver

Bitnong Elementary School’s standout athlete, Kobe B. Madayag, delivered an impressive performance at the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Athletic Association Meet 2025, competing against top young athletes from the province.

Kobe secured gold medals in the long jump and triple jump demonstrating outstanding speed, power, and jumping technique that earned him top scores in both events.

In the long jump, Kobe executed a precise run-up and explosive take-off, covering a distance that outshone his competitors and secured his first gold medal.

His triple jump showcased perfect rhythm, coordination, and leg strength, allowing him to maintain momentum through all three phases and claim his second gold.

Kobe also earned silver in the high jump, exhibiting exceptional timing, body control, and agility to clear the bar with minimal faults, narrowly missing the top spot.

Bitnong Elementary School officially launched the ARAL Program, a vital initiative of the Department of Education aimed at addressing learning gaps among learners. The program focuses on strengthening foundational skills in literacy and numeracy, providing learners with targeted support through structured interventions, guided practice, and mentoring.

Bitnong Elementary School actively participated in the Simultaneous National Earthquake Drill (SNED) held on September 15, 2025 as part of the school’s commitment to disaster preparedness and safety.

The activity started with a briefing led by the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinator ma'am Ailene M. Sabado reminding learners and teachers of the proper safety procedures during an earthquake. At exactly 3pm, the alarm signal was sounded, and all pupils and teachers executed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure.

After the shaking scenario, learners and personnel calmly evacuated to the designated open area following the identified evacuation routes. Attendance was checked to ensure that all were accounted for. A short evaluation followed, where strengths and areas for improvement were discussed to further enhance the school’s disaster preparedness.

The drill was conducted successfully with the cooperation of the entire school community. It served as an effective reminder of the importance of readiness and safety in times of emergencies.

School-Based Anti-Bullying Campaign

Bitnong Elementary School, in partnership with the Philippine National Police(PNP) Dupax del Norte, successfully conducted an Anti-Bullying Campaign to promote peace, respect and safety among learners. The activity aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of bullying and to encourage pupils to practice kindness and empathy in their daily lives.

The PNP officers led a discussion on the different forms of bullying, its consequences, and the importance of reporting such cases to teachers and authorities. Through engaging talks and interactive activities, the pupils learned how to stand against bullying and build a supportive school community.

The campaign strengthened the collaboration between the school and the PNP in ensuring that every learner feels safe and protected. Bitnong Elementary School remains committed to nurturing a child-friendly environment where respect and unity prevail.
