In celebration of Mayor Neil M. Magaway's birthday, the local government unit successfully hosted its annual blood-letting activity and free medical mission on July 23, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium.
Driven by a shared commitment to community health, the event was made possible through the dedicated collaborative efforts of the Municipal Health Office (MHO), Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH), and the Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO) of Nueva Vizcaya.
Embodying the theme, "Donating blood is not an act of kindness; it's a gift of life," generous constituents, volunteers, and personnel from different barangays and agencies across Dupax del Sur came forward, resulting in a remarkable total of 152 successful blood donations. Alongside the blood-letting activity, local residents also received free medical check-ups and healtjh consultations.
This annual initiative plays a vital role in the community's healthcare infrastructure. Beyond celebrating leadership, the blood drive serves two critical purposes: it replenishes and secures the blood reserves-acting as a blood fund at the NVPH blood bank, and it replaces blood units utilized by constituents from past medical requests, ensuring a sustainable supply for future emergencies.
The LGU of Dupax del Sur extends its deepest gratitude to all partner agencies, medical frontliners, and most importantly the selfless donors who turned up to give the ultimate gift of life.
