𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | To officially kick off 𝐌𝐒𝐌𝐄 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐃𝐓𝐈 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧), hosted 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝟏𝟎𝟏: 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠. It was actively participated by 37 homegrown MSMEs, business enthusiasts, and future franchisors eager to scale their ventures. The seminar covered the essential framework of franchising, including business model evaluation, legal considerations and operational scaling, led by the academic experts from Palawan State University, Ms. Theresa L. Manga, Chairperson of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Dr. Mary Grace A. Masdo, OIC Dean, College of Accountancy.
This milestone event was made possible through the unwavering support of the City Government of Puerto Princesa to foster local entrepreneurship, and drive sustainable economic growth. The successful kickoff further solidifies the partnership between the DTI Palawan and City Government of Puerto Princesa, with Ms. Amy E. Abrio, LGU focal person for Negosyo Center Puerto Princesa playing an instrumental role in bridging the collaboration to ensure the event’s resounding success.
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐏. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 emphasized the DTI’s commitment and initiatives to help entrepreneurs discover the massive growth opportunities in franchising. She highlighted that every month of July the DTI Palawan has many lined-up activities to support MSMEs, though there are also other activities in upcoming months.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | DTI Palawan continues its commitment to consumer protection, conducting extensive Fair Trade Law (FTL) Monitoring across Northern Palawan.
Led by the Provincial Monitoring and Enforcement Team (PMET), the two-day operations from June 24–25 yielded the following results across key municipalities:
📍 San Vicente: 9 firms monitored
📍 Roxas: 26 firms monitored (including 6 SRE Accreditations)
📍 Taytay: 14 firms monitored
𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: FTL monitoring is currently underway in Municipality of El Nido, Palawan today as part of the ongoing campaign to enforce Department Administrative Order (DAO) No. 2, Series of 2007, alongside strict compliance checks on Price Tags, Product Labeling, and Business Name (BN) registration.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Palawan, through Negosyo Center–Narra, Ms. Diana Rose M. Valdez and TIDS Camella F. Tanteo successfully conducted a Business Continuity and Resilience Planning seminar for microenterprises in Narra, Palawan, on June 25, 2026, at the Negosyo Center Narra Office, Municipal Compound, Bgy. Poblacion, Narra, Palawan.
The activity was attended by a total of twenty-five (25) microenterprises engaged in retail stores, food services, service and repair shops, food processing, and agribusiness. This activity provided microenterprises with technical assistance in business resiliency literacy, offering a step-by-step recovery phase to build and maintain strengthened disaster competencies.
