As you enjoy the breathtaking beauty of El Nido, we want to remind everyone of the presence of jellyfish in these waters. While these creatures are a vital part of the local wildlife, they can pose a danger to humans.

Jellyfish are fascinating yet potentially hazardous creatures. Some species found in these waters may have stinging tentacles that can cause painful or even harmful reactions if touched. Therefore, it's essential to exercise caution and awareness while swimming or snorkeling.

Here are a few tips to stay safe and respect the jellyfish and their habitat:
1. Stay Informed: Be aware of local jellyfish species and their behaviors. Ask locals or guides about any recent sightings or known areas where jellyfish may frequent.
2. Avoid Contact: Keep a safe distance from jellyfish, especially if you're unsure of their species or if they appear to have tentacles. Admire them from afar to minimize the risk of stings.
3. Protective Measures: Consider wearing protective clothing, such as rash guards or wetsuits, to reduce skin exposure while in the water.
4. First Aid Preparation: Familiarize yourself with basic first aid procedures for jellyfish stings. Carry a basic first aid kit with supplies such as vinegar (to neutralize certain jellyfish toxins) and bandages.
5. Respect Their Home: Remember, we are guests in the jellyfish's habitat. Help preserve their environment by avoiding littering or pollution that could harm marine life.

By staying informed and respecting the natural environment, we can coexist safely with the stunning wildlife of El Nido. Let's cherish and protect this precious ecosystem for generations to come.

Stay safe and enjoy your time exploring the wonders of El Nido!
