Dear PNHS Family,
In light of the recent and deeply heartbreaking news about school shootings in other areas, we wanted to take a moment to pause, reach out, and talk to you directly - heart to heart.
School should always be a place where you feel safe, heard, and supported. Events like these can bring up a mix of fear, sadness, and confusion. It is completely normal to feel overwhelmed, but it also reminds us just how precious our Pinapugasan National High School community truly is.
Now, more than ever, we need each other. Being a student isn't just about getting good grades or passing your subjects - it’s about the kind of person you choose to be every single day.
Here is how we can protect and uplift our PNHS home together:
1. Choose compassion over conflict. A gentle word, a warm smile, or simply listening can change someone's entire day. You never know what heavy burdens a classmate might be carrying.
2. Be a builder, not a breaker. Let your words and actions bring comfort and peace, never harm. Make a commitment that your presence in our school and in our community will always make people feel safer, not threatened.
3. Look out for one another. If you notice a friend or classmate who seems isolated, overwhelmed, or struggling, offer a friendly hand. Being a friend can literally save a life.
4. Speak up with trust. If you ever hear, see, or feel that something isn't right - or if you are hurting and need help - please reach out. Talk to your teachers, classmates, school staff, or parents. Reporting a concern or asking for help is an act of courage, not weakness.
Let us stand together as true PNHSians: humane, responsible, and compassionate. Let’s make our campus and our community a sanctuary of kindness and safety for everyone.
Stay safe, look out for each other, and remember that you are never alone.
With warm regards and care,
Your Pinapugasan National High School Family
