The MDRRMO Esperanza Rescue Team, led by Sir Jim L. Auza, RN, MAN, and under the leadership of Mayor Charles Federic R. Ploteña, provided standby medical assistance during the Fun Run of Notre Dame of Esperanza, Inc.

Ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, our dedicated medics were on site to ensure a secure and smooth event.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Esperanza, headed by Mr. Jim L. Auza and under the leadership of Mayor Charles Frederick R. Plotena, successfully conducted a First Aid and Bandaging Lecture during the BSP and GSP Encampment at Doroteo Pastor Memorial Elementary School in Brgy. Marquez.

This initiative aims to equip young scouts with essential life-saving skills, emergency response preparedness, and basic safety knowledge to ensure they are well-prepared to assist during unforeseen emergencies.

🚨 HAZE WATCH ADVISORY 🚨

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Esperanza advises all residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions following the reported haze caused by the wildfires in Indonesia.

Residents are encouraged to limit outdoor exposure, stay indoors, keep windows closed, wear a face mask when necessary, drink plenty of water, and monitor their health for symptoms such as eye irritation, coughing, sore throat, and difficulty breathing. Vulnerable groups—including children, senior citizens, and individuals with asthma, heart, or lung conditions—are strongly advised to take extra precautions.

🩹 BUILDING FIRST AID SKILLS, STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY RESILIENCE

The MDRRMO Esperanza conducted a First Aid Lecture on Bandaging and Splinting for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) at Salabaca Elementary School. The activity aimed to equip young scouts with basic first aid knowledge and practical skills that they can use during emergencies and unexpected situations.

This initiative is made possible through the guidance of our LDRRM V, Sir Jim L. Auza, RN, MAN, and the continued support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Charles Federic R. Ploteña, in strengthening disaster preparedness and building a safer and more resilient community.
