"91st NATIONAL BOOK WEEK CELEBRATION"
The NISU Main Campus Library has successfully concluded its 91st National Book Week Celebration in partnership with the NISU Future Leaders of the Philippines (FLP) and the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) program.
Throughout the celebration, a wide array of activities brought excitement and learning to the community, including Book Character Impersonation, Debate, Battle of the Brains, Binalaybay, Oration, Essay Writing Contest, and many more.
To make the event even more engaging, the librarians also prepared fun games such as Spin the Wheel, Scramble Word, and Lucky Seat, giving students enjoyable opportunities to participate and win small prizes.
The library likewise offered its well-loved free coffee service, The LiBrewry, which served as a warm and welcoming spot for readers, students, and visitors throughout the week.
As part of the celebration, the BLIS program organized a seminar on Storytelling and Information Literacy. Sir Edmar Labrador discussed the art and importance of storytelling, inspiring participants with engaging techniques and meaningful insights. Meanwhile, Professor Daryl Superio, together with BLIS students Czarina Debigay and Anne Joy Samudio, talked about Information Literacy, emphasizing its significance in academic success and responsible information use.
Another highlight of the week was the Library Talk, featuring speakers PT Jared Casuncad, and George Bartolome III, who delivered insightful discussions on the importance of reading and HIV awareness in collaboration with the University Clinic.
The librarians also conducted their yearly “I Love My Library Campaign,” where they roamed around the campus and visited various offices to personally promote the library’s services, programs, and resources—strengthening the connection between the library and the NISU community.
The NISU Main Campus Library is deeply thankful for the unwavering support of the students, faculty, staff, and partner organizations who contributed to the success of this year’s celebration.
The 91st National Book Week at NISU Main Campus truly celebrated literacy, creativity, and community—uplifting the library’s mission of inspiring readers and supporting lifelong learning.
