Gamu,Isabela | 12 March 2026 - In line with its commitment to promote entrepreneurship and empower future business owners, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Negosyo Center Gamu, conducted an Entrepreneurial Development Training (EDT) for TESDA scholars from various training centers in Gamu and Naguilian. The training aimed to enhance the participantsโ entrepreneurial mindset and equip them with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to explore business opportunities and transform their technical competencies into sustainable livelihood ventures.
The activity gathered a total of 53 participants, composed of 15 Bread and Pastry TESDA scholars,14 Housekeeping NC II trainees from UTACC. and 14 Driving NC II trainees from Providers MPC.
During the session, participants were introduced to key entrepreneurial concepts such as opportunity seeking, innovation, financial awareness, and resilience, emphasizing the importance of these competencies in transforming technical skills into viable income-generating ventures. This initiative underscores the continuing efforts of the Department of Trade and Industry to cultivate an entrepreneurial culture among Filipinos, particularly among technical-vocational graduates and trainees, by providing them with access to learning opportunities that enable them to pursue self-employment and sustainable livelihood.
The Negosyo Center Gamu continues to strengthen partnerships with training institutions and organizations to ensure that more individuals are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in business and contribute to inclusive economic growth in the community.
