AFPMBAI Conducts Information Drive and Laptop Turnover to 8th FAB

The Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (AFPMBAI) conducted an information drive for the personnel of the 8th Field Artillery Battalion providing valuable insights into its programs, benefits, and financial services aimed at promoting financial security and responsible financial planning among soldiers and their families. The activity served as an avenue to strengthen awareness of the various membership privileges.

As part of the event, AFPMBAI also turned over a laptop to support the operational and administrative requirements of the unit. This underscores its dedication in empowering its stakeholders through technology and continuous capacity-building. Through this initiative, the 8th FAB reaffirms its commitment in promoting the welfare and financial well-being of its personnel by fostering partnerships with organizations dedicated in serving the military community.

The 8th Field Artillery Battalion reached out to the retired FA veterans within Region 2 in recognition of their invaluable service and lasting contributions to the organization. The activity served as a venue to reconnect with the esteemed artillerymen, expressing the unit's gratitude for their dedication, and reaffirm the Battalion's commitment to fostering camaraderie beyond active military service.

During the discussions, 8FAB encouraged the retired personnel to remain steadfast partners of the Artillery Regiment by supporting its programs especially in the artillery reservist affairs advocating for peace and development within their communities, and sharing their experiences with the next generation of cannoneers.

Chief, 3rd Field Property Accountability Office (3FPAO) Conducts Physical Inventory and Inspection to 8th FAB

MS. NENITA P. QUISMUNDO, Chief, 3FPAO, PAO, PA together with her inspection team, conducted a physical inventory and inspection of the accountable property, equipment, and other government assets of the 8th Field Artillery Battalion throughout its Battalion Headquarters and line batteries in Region 2. The activity aimed to verify the existence, condition, accountability, and proper documentation of government-issued properties and equipment. The inspection is part of the Philippine Army's commitment to maintaining transparency, accountability, and sound property management, while ensuring that all accountable assets are accurately recorded and properly utilized to support the unit's operational readiness.

The inspection also served as an opportunity to validate inventory records, identify discrepancies, and recommend appropriate corrective measures to strengthen property accountability within the battalion. Through this activity, the 3FPAO reinforced the importance of responsible stewardship of government resources, ensuring that all equipment remains serviceable, properly accounted for, and readily available to support the 8FAB mission requirements.

8th FAB Gears Up for the Philippine Army Warrior Fitness Test (PAWFT)

Gamu, Isabela- Demonstrating its commitment to combat readiness and physical well-being, the 8th Field Artillery Battalion (8FAB) conducted a simulation of the Philippine Army Warrior Fitness Test (PAWFT) as part of its preparations for the transition to the Army's new physical fitness assessment. Personnel participated in the seven fitness events designed to evaluate strength, endurance, agility, speed, and overall combat capability, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the test while identifying areas for improvement.

The PAWFT is designed to evaluate a soldier's ability to perform physical tasks that resemble those encountered in military operations, including combat and humanitarian assistance/disaster response (HADR). The activity reinforces the battalion's dedication to maintaining a physically fit and mission-ready force capable of meeting the demands of rigorous military operations.
