NSSD 2026 | POST-EVALUATION MEETING

Following the successful conduct of the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill (NSSD) today, September 3, 2026, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gandara conducted a Post-Evaluation Meeting at the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Session Hall.

The post-evaluation was led by Ms. Mira Korina B. Julaton, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO), in support of Municipal Mayor Warren T. Aguilar.

The meeting brought together concerned LGU offices, participating schools, and partner agencies to assess the implementation of the drill, share observations and experiences, identify challenges encountered, and discuss areas for improvement in emergency preparedness and response.

The activity reinforces the LGU Gandara’s commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness, inter-agency coordination, and emergency response capabilities toward ensuring the safety and resilience of the school community and the people of Gandara.

NSSD 2026 | SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED

The National Simultaneous School Safety Drill (NSSD) was successfully conducted today, September 3, 2026, in accordance with the DILG Memorandum mandating the conduct of the nationwide school safety drill.

The activity was led by Mayor Warren T. Aguilar, together with PCPT Jefferson P. Arellano, OIC – Gandara Municipal Police Station (GMPS); Ms. Mira Korina B. Julaton, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO); Dr. Mark John Dupitas, DTTB; and personnel from the Rural Health Unit (RHU), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

Ramon T. Diaz National High School
St. Michael's High School
Gandara I Central Elementary School
Gandara II Central Elementary School

The drill aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness, emergency response, coordination, and safety awareness among learners, teachers, school personnel, and local responders.

The successful conduct of the NSSD reflects the collective commitment of LGU Gandara, participating schools, and partner agencies toward building safer, more prepared, and disaster-resilient school communities.

September 2, 2026 | URGENT COORDINATION MEETING

The Local Government Unit of Gandara is currently conducting an urgent coordination meeting today, September 2, 2026, at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, in preparation for the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill (NSSSD) scheduled for tomorrow, September 3, 2026, at 9:00 AM.

The meeting is being held pursuant to the DILG Memorandum on the Updated Schedule and Continued DILG Support to the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill.

Present during the meeting are Mr. Alfredo C. Delector, Municipal Administrator; Ms. Mira Korina B. Julaton (MLGOO); Ms. Thaiza Mithel D. Cajigas (LGOO II); together with representatives from concerned LGU offices and participating schools.

Discussions focus on final coordination, safety and emergency protocols, logistical preparations, and the respective roles of concerned offices, schools, and local responders to ensure the smooth and safe implementation of tomorrow’s drill.
