DILG along with the Municipal Assessment and Transition Team (MATT) members Rayn M. Taylan and Margie Guisihan Minglana conduct the transition and inspection of turnover documents in the Offices of Barangay LGU of Poblacion 4 and the Liga ng mga Barangay GL Chapter; due to the assumption of office of Hon. Liga ng mga Barangay, General Luna,SDN-ABC Johnson Y. Sajulga as Municipal Mayor of General Luna, Surigao del Norte on the Noon of June 30, 2025.
Per provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, the Next Highest Ranking Sangguniang Barangay Member, Hon. WILNA B. BERSABAL shall succeed him as the new Punong Barangay on the same date of his assumption to office.
Further, and in order to set a good example to future successors, the Office of the Liga ng mga Barangay of General Luna thru LnmB Treasurer Hon. Rosebelt Lim and LnmB VP Rutchel Longay, also conducted their own turnover and transition activities, as Hon. Sajulga is also the current LMB President and his assumption to office shall also relieve him of his position as LMB President.
Lastly, per provisions of the Liga nga mga Barangay Constitution and By - Laws, the Vice President, Hon. Rutchel Longay, Punong Barangay of Barangay Corazon, shall succeed him as the LMB President for the remaining part of his term and automatically sit as ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Bayan.
