The Local Project Monitoring Council (LPMC) convened this afternoon from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the 2nd Floor Municipal Hall to review the progress of ongoing local initiatives. The session focused on ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely ex*****on across all municipal undertakings.

The Municipal Engineer, Engr. Isruel Lou Magno, delivered a comprehensive status report detailing the physical implementation and on-site progress of various local projects. This update provided members with a clear view of current construction milestones and overall project pacing.

Following the physical assessment, the Municipal Accountant, presented the financial status report, outlining budget utilization, fund allocations, and expenditures. This segment ensured that all financial transactions remain aligned with approved project costs and fiscal guidelines.

Rather than relying solely on office reports, the council also reviewed insights from actual inspections and site visitations of particular projects, specifically focusing on the drainage canal project at Brgy. 5. These combined reports and on-the-ground evaluations reinforce our commitment to delivering well-executed, high-quality projects for the community.

September 3, 2026 - Local officials, department heads, national agencies, and community stakeholders convened at the 2nd Floor Municipal Hall for the Local Government Unit (LGU) of General MacArthur's executive meeting. Spearheaded by Municipal Mayor Joel Dado Baldo, the gathering brought together the Punong Barangays and Civil Society Organization (CSO) representatives to align on critical municipal developments, social welfare initiatives, and administrative updates.

Key Agenda Items and Department Reports:

Infrastructure and Planning: Engr. Isruel Lou Magno presented current status updates on various municipal infrastructure projects and the vital needed requirements for every projects, followed by Engr. Ponciano L. Thong, who outlined the latest updates regarding the Revised Annual Investment Program (AIP) 2026.

Social Services and Community Programs: MSWDO Liezl Ayon reported on the ongoing distribution and monitoring of rice allocations across all barangays. Additionally, KALAHI-CIDSS Area Coordinator, Ms. Girlie Y. Glino, discussing updates and forward plans concerning the Municipal Resilience Team Plan. The 4Ps Municipal Link of DSWD, Mr. Anthony Abit, responded to the concern of the council regarding the full participation of 4Ps Beneficiaries .

Health Sector Readiness: The Rural Health Unit (RHU), through Dr. Maila E. Navidad-Bobon, outlined vital health program updates alongside high-priority targets and deliverables requiring immediate accomplishment such as matters concerning the PMNP, Dengue, and MRSIA.

Governance and Public Safety: MLGOO Maria Rowena Macapañas-Estor addressed critical administrative directives, emphasizing the strict review of the implementation of school safety zones and mandating a complete inventory of barangay properties and assets—independent of whether or not the barangay and SK elections will push through this year.

Hindi maaaring matapos ang araw na ito na hindi natin sinasaluduhan ang mga dating bayani at bagong bayani ng ating bayan. Ang National Heroes Day o Araw ng mga Bayani ay hindi lamang isang simpleng petsa sa kalendaryo o pambansang bakasyon; ito ay isang malalim na paanyaya upang gunitain ang mga nag-aalab na sakripisyo ng mga nag-alay ng kanilang buhay para sa ating kalayaan.

Sa ating pag-alala sa mga pangalan tulad nina Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, at iba pang haligi ng kasaysayan, hindi natin dapat kalimutan na ang kabayanihan ay nagbabago ng anyo sa paglipas ng panahon. Ngayon, ang mga makabagong bayani—mga manggagawang Pilipino sa ibayong-dagat, mga g**o na nagtutuklas ng karunungan sa kabila ng kakulangan, mga manggagawang medikal na patuloy na naglilingkod, at bawat mamamayang lumalaban nang tapat at marangal—ay patuloy na nagtataguyod sa ating lipunan.
