PNP STATEMENT ON THE INCIDENT DURING THE PRESS BRIEFING

The Philippine National Police (PNP) upholds the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and respect in all official engagements, particularly in press briefings and interactions with oversight bodies and the media.

During the press briefing held this afternoon, June 3, 2026, a police officer was invited to clarify his involvement in a vehicular traffic incident that occurred on June 2, 2026 along MLQ Avenue corner Mauling Creek, Brgy. The officer was subsequently directed to step out of the press briefing area in order to maintain proper decorum.

The PNP does not condone any form of disrespectful conduct or language that undermines discipline, professionalism, and the integrity of official public forums. The concerned personnel will be subjected to appropriate administrative review in accordance with existing rules and due process.

PNP INTENSIFIES WV MANHUNT DRIVE, 3 REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSONS ARRESTED

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported the successful arrest of three Regional Most Wanted Persons in a series of separate operations conducted on June 1, 2026 in Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and Occidental Mindoro, as part of its continuing nationwide drive to locate and bring fugitives to justice.

These coordinated manhunt operations highlight the sustained efforts of police units on the ground, working closely with various support teams to ensure that individuals with standing warrants are properly accounted for under the rule of law.

In Occidental Mindoro, authorities arrested the No. 1 Regional Most Wanted Person in Barangay San Agustin, San Jose. The suspect was apprehended through the implementation of multiple arrest warrants issued by the court for serious criminal cases, including arson and violent offenses. Police ensured a peaceful arrest and immediately informed the suspect of his rights.

In Iloilo, tracker teams successfully served a warrant of arrest against a Regional Most Wanted Person ranked Top 5 in Barangay Tabuc-Suba, Barotac Nuevo. The operation was carried out by local police units with the necessary coordination, resulting in a smooth and orderly arrest.

In Negros Occidental, another Regional Most Wanted Person listed as Top 6 was arrested in Barangay Inapoy, Kabankalan City. The operation was jointly executed by operating units and supporting personnel, ensuring that the warrant of arrest was implemented without incident and in accordance with legal procedures.

All arrested individuals are now under police custody and will be turned over to the proper authorities for documentation and further legal proceedings.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., recognized the efforts of the operating units, noting that sustained field accomplishments reflect a police organization that remains steady in its duty to protect communities while respecting the rights of every individual.

We act decisively, but always within the bounds of law and respect for rights. This is the kind of service our citizens deserve,” he said.,” he said.

He also emphasized that these operational gains support the broader direction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in strengthening public order initiatives and ensuring that law enforcement remains responsive and visible in communities across the country.
