The Coast Guard District Southern Mindanao (CGDSM) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Holy Trinity College for the implementation of the Philippine Coast Guard-Oriented National Service Training Program – Civic Welfare Training Service (PCG-Oriented NSTP-CWTS) at Holy Trinity College in General Santos City today, July 16, 2026.
The agreement establishes a collaborative program aimed at equipping students with practical skills, leadership, discipline, and a strong sense of civic responsibility. Through the PCG-Oriented NSTP-CWTS, students will participate in activities focused on disaster preparedness and response, basic first aid, environmental protection, maritime safety awareness, community service, leadership development, discipline, and other initiatives that promote public safety and community resilience.
During the signing ceremony, Commander, CGDSM, Commodore Jonathan Marfil PCG, emphasized that the partnership reflects the PCG's commitment to developing responsible, disciplined, service-oriented, and disaster-resilient youth who can contribute meaningfully to their communities.
The signing of the agreement marks the beginning of a sustained collaboration between CGDSM and Holy Trinity College, reinforcing their shared vision of transforming classroom learning into meaningful community service while preparing the next generation of responsible, service-oriented, and civic-minded Filipino citizens.
