The Department of Health โ Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN Region conducted the Training on Behavior Guidance for Pediatric Dental Patients on August 19โ20, 2026, in General Santos City.
The two-day training strengthened the competencies of dental health professionals in managing pediatric patient behavior and applying evidence-based, child-centered, and appropriate approaches in the delivery of oral health services.
The activity also included an orientation on the use of iClinicSys (Integrated Clinic Information System) of the Department of Health, providing participants with guidance on the proper use of the system in documenting and managing health service information.
Representing the General Santos City Health Office in the training were Simonette Manlangit, DMD MMPHA; Nerie Laurene D. Chua, DMD; Remarie R. Domantay, DMD; Charles Brent M. Buendicho, DMD; Nor-Aidja A. Mohamad, DMD; and Yasmin Tampipi, DMD.
Together with dentists from various Rural Health Units, the participants gained valuable knowledge and skills to enhance technical competencies, strengthen collaboration, and promote more efficient, child-friendly, and quality oral health service delivery.
