A MOTHER’S APPEAL:
For the good people of General Santos City,
We are standing at the crossroads in our city’s history.
On May 12, 2025, we will vote for the future of GenSan — a future dictated by incompetence and corruption or a future for good governance. A choice between self-serving power and true public service
In my 30 years of public service, I have been able to turn dreams into reality — I built the foundation for a “Boom Town City,” realizing the promises for the poor, implementing major infrastructure projects with honesty and I left office not richer, but fulfilled.
The one thing that critics could throw at me is that I am a senior citizen — A badge I wear with honor.
Meanwhile, my opponent faces accusations of unexplained wealth, numerous cases with the Ombudsman, complaints before the Commission on Audit, overpriced projects, and abuses of power. These are things that will not be washed off by the theatrics of playing the victim and hiding from the media.
“The truth hurts as much as it liberates!”
GenSan deserves so much more and, at this crucial time in our City’s history, we need leaders who are ready to actualize GenSan’s potential —leaders who serve the people, not political allies and personal interests.
RCRI AIM Alliance and PDP Laban are partnering for:
Free, improved hospital care
Expanded scholarships for every deserving family
Agricultural aid and support for the fishing industry both for big industries and our local fishermen
Improved transportation and infrastructure
Jobs and investments for GenSan residents
Proper utilization of the City’s Intelligence Fund for Peace and Security
Sustainable economic programs that will provide opportunities for all
This election is not simply about candidates; it’s about us.
So I appeal to all the well-meaning residents of General Santos: Stand! Speak! Vote!
Let us shake the ground with the thunder of our footsteps, flood the election precincts with our courage, and remind corrupt officials that GenSan is not for sale!
Ang mga magnanakaw sa gobyerno ang dapat matakot sa atin!
We show up. We choose integrity. We vote for our future.
Sincerely,
Rosalita “Nanay Lita” Nuñez MNSA Ph.D
