ADVISORY | RETURN OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES
Based on the joint press conference conducted by the General Santos City Government and DepEd General Santos City this afternoon, August 11, 2026, face-to-face classes in all public elementary and secondary schools may continue for any day this week.
All schools are required to strictly implement their School Safety Primer and existing safety and security protocols. This includes the use of classrooms on the ground floor and second floor for daily emergency drills, a clear process for the reunion of students and their families, a well-functioning communication system, and close coordination with local agencies for safety and emergency response.
School heads are also encouraged to determine the most appropriate learning modalityโfull face-to-face, limited face-to-face, modular, online, or blended learningโbased on the school's preparedness and needs, as well as the current situation.
Everyone is advised to remain vigilant, calm, and always prioritize safety while we continue to rise and gradually return to normal operations in schools. Let us continue to care for and support one another.
