The procurement was funded through the stationβs 20% share of collected Fire Code Fees, a dedicated fund allocated to continuously modernize firefighting equipment, enhance rescue capabilities, and improve emergency preparedness for the city.
Key Operational Advantages of the New Aerial Asset:
Rapid Aerial Assessment: Provides real-time, high-definition aerial footage during structural fires, chemical hazards, and large-scale disastersβallowing incident commanders to make fast, strategic decisions.
Enhanced Search & Rescue (SAR): Strengthens search operations in hard-to-reach areas, disaster zones, and open terrain during emergencies.
Fire Scene Safety & Mapping: Assesses structural integrity and thermal patterns, mitigating risks for firefighters on the ground before entering hazard zones.
FSUPT NABOR expressed deep gratitude to the Local Government Unit of General Santos City for their steadfast support and collaborative partnership in prioritizing public safety and modernizing the cityβs emergency response equipment.
With this technological enhancement, the General Santos City Fire Station continues to elevate its standards, ensuring a safer and more resilient community for all Generals.
