Today, as we commemorate Nelson Mandela International Day 2026, the BJMP General Trias City Jail – Female Dormitory reaffirms its commitment to upholding the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners (Nelson Mandela Rules).

Through accessible healthcare services, health promotion activities, disease prevention, and respect for the dignity of every Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL), we continue to foster a correctional environment that values humanity, wellness, and rehabilitation.

As Nelson Mandela reminded the world:

"It is still in our hands to combat poverty and inequity."

"ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM PAG-ANGAT AT PAGTATAPOS"

June 30, 2026, Under the leadership of 𝐉𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐃 𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐎, City Jail Warden, General Trias City Jail - Male Dormitory and 𝐒𝐉𝐎𝟒 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀 𝐑𝐮𝐢𝐳, Acting Warden, General Trias City Jail – Female Dormitory, and with the theme "Pilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang Mamuno nang May Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao," the General Trias City Jail – Female Dormitory proudly celebrates the achievement of our Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) who successfully completed the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Elementary and Secondary Levels.

This meaningful occasion highlights the perseverance, determination, and belief that education is a powerful tool for transformation, hope, and successful reintegration into society. May this milestone inspire our learners to continue striving for excellence and to become responsible individuals equipped with knowledge, competence, and good moral character.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Guest of Honor, 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐬 𝐏.
