The Municipality of Gerona proudly recognizes our fellow Geronians for their outstanding achievements in the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA), a prestigious competition among state colleges and universities in the region.

Ms. Danica P. Francisco of Barangay Magaspac earned a Bronze Medal in Team Single Weapon and a Silver Medal in Team Double Weapon.

Ms. Lorraine Sabado of Barangay Buenlag, Gerona, Tarlac, secured a Gold Medal in Javelin Throw and a Bronze Medal in Shot Put.

Mr. Bryle A. Zarzuela of Barangay Quezon delivered an exceptional performance, winning Gold Medals in High Jump, Triple Jump, and Classical Relay, Silver in 4x100 Meter Relay, and Bronze in Long Jump.

LGU Gerona gathered for the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony led by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), attended by local officials, employees, and uniformed personnel.

The Honorable Mayor, Engr. May B. Eclar, Ph.D., encouraged everyone to reflect on their past experiences and the lessons learned from them, emphasizing the importance of โ€œreflected experiencesโ€ in shaping oneโ€™s character, decisions, and service to others. She reminded everyone to always choose to do good and give glory to God in all that they do.

Through the generosity of Fire Senior Inspector Ameline M. Manalaysay, simple gifts were also given to the birthday celebrators as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation and celebration for their special day.๐ŸŽ‰

The Municipal Accounting Office led by its Municipal Accountant, Mr. Lito F. Melegrito, was recognized for achieving an Unmodified COA Audit Opinion for the 2024 Financial Statements and for its SGLG 2024 compliance, reflecting excellence in fiscal responsibility, transparency and good governance.
