San Isidro Basketball Team and San Isidro Sangguniang Kabataan- San Isidro,Gigaquit
We, the San Isidro Basketball Team, together with the San Isidro Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council, respectfully announce our decision not to participate in the scheduled battle for third-place game against Mahanub.
This decision comes after the protest raised by the opposing team concerning the eligibility of one of our players. We firmly maintain that the player in question has already presented and submitted the complete documents required to establish his eligibility to participate in the tournament.
We respect the right of every team to raise concerns and file protests in accordance with the tournament rules. However, we also believe that the documents submitted by our player should be properly recognized and considered before any decision regarding his eligibility is made.
Our decision not to play the third-place game is made not out of disrespect toward the tournament organizers, Mahanub, or the sport of basketball, but as a matter of principle and in support of our player, who has complied with the documentary requirements asked of him.
We sincerely thank our players, coaches, supporters, families, and the people of San Isidro for their unwavering support throughout the tournament. We are proud of our team and grateful for the opportunity to represent our community.
We hope that this matter will be handled fairly, transparently, and with respect for all participating teams.
