𝐓𝐡𝐞 1𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 of the Sangguniang Bayan was conducted on January 16, 2026, at 9:00 AM, at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, for the discussion and action on urgent measures. The session was presided over 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐄𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐓. 𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, and was attended by the members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Gigmoto.

The Sangguniang Bayan of Gigmoto, together with the Municipal Councilors, the SB Secretary, and additional Local Legislative Staff, are currently attending the PCL Strategic Planning and Action Plan Formulation (CY 2026) and the 2025 PCL Year-End Assembly being held on December 11–13, 2025 at The Lumber Hotel and Restaurant, San Vicente, Virac, Catanduanes. The event includes inspiring motivational messages from the invited guest, along with a meaningful thanksgiving and enjoyable gift-giving raffle activity—strengthening camaraderie and our commitment to public service.

The 3rd Mobile Session of the Sangguniang Bayan of Gigmoto was successfully held today at Barangay Sioron, presided over by Hon. Efren T. Tating, Municipal Vice Mayor and Presiding Officer, together with the Sangguniang Bayan Members.

This initiative highlights the commitment of the Local Government of Gigmoto to bring public service closer to the community, with the continued support of Barangay Captain Hon. Gregorio T. Tumalim and the Barangay Council of Sioron.

🌟 SUCCESSFUL LAUNCHING OF THE D.A.R.E. PROGRAM 🌟
(Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program)

The Local Government Unit of Gigmoto, through the Office of the Vice Mayor, proudly held the successful launching of the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program this morning, October 21, 2025 | 8:00 AM, at the Multipurpose Building, Barangay District II, Gigmoto, Catanduanes. 💙

The event featured inspiring messages and the presentation of the program’s goals by Hon. Efren T. Tating, Municipal Vice Mayor, and Hon. Vicente J. Tayam Jr., C.E., Municipal Mayor, along with a motivational talk delivered by the guest speaker, Atty. Alissa Anne D. Sanchez, President of the IBP Catanduanes Chapter.

✨ Program highlights included the presentation of the D.A.R.E. Program objectives, the awarding of certificates of appreciation and recognitions, and the participation of partner agencies such as the PNP, DSWD, DEPED, RHU, DILG, also the Barangay Council, SPTA President, SSLG President and other stakeholders.

Alongside the event was the presentation of awards and recognition initiated by the Sangguniang Bayan through the Committee on Education, chaired by Hon. Jake T. Tolledo, (all SB members ) to the Gigmoto Rural Development High School and an outstanding student, Shaina Mae J. Oclarino, who earned a Bronze Medal in the Philippines International Mathematical Olympiad, together with her coach, Mr. Ariel R. Tanael. 🏅🎓

This program was successfully conducted, reaffirming the LGU’s strong commitment to empowering the YOUTH, promoting a drug-free lifestyle, and fostering a united and proactive community against drug abuse. 💪🌍

The Municipality of Gigmoto humbly acknowledges the results of the 2025 Local Legislative Award (LLA) Assessment conducted by the DILG for the Province of Catanduanes.

Under the leadership of Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Efren T. Tating and the dedicated members of the Sangguniang Bayan, the present administration remains steadfast in its commitment to enhance legislative performance and strengthen public service delivery.

While this assessment reflects the performance of the previous term, it serves as a valuable guide and motivation for the current administration to strive harder, innovate further, and work together to achieve higher scores in the upcoming 2025–2028 evaluation.

With unity, dedication, and teamwork, we can raise Gigmoto to greater heights and continue our journey toward transparent, effective, and people-centered governance. 💪🌟

| 2nd Mobile Session | Barangay Sicmil Session Hall

The Sangguniang Bayan of Gigmoto, headed by the Presiding Officer and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Efren T. Tating, successfully conducted a Mobile Session at Barangay Sicmil, Gigmoto, Catanduanes, September 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM onwards today. The activity was made possible through the cooperation of Barangay Captain Hon. Yolanda Tolledo, the barangay officials, and the active participation of the residents of Barangay Sicmil, whose concerns were duly heard and accommodated by the Sangguniang Bayan members. (Hon. Team work as it best!

The Sangguniang Bayan of Gigmoto underwent the 2025 Local Legislative Awards Provincial Assessment today, September 10, 2025, (8:00am- 5:00pm) at the SB Session Hall. The assessment was led by DILG Provincial Director Mr. Uldarico S. Razal, Jr., CESO V, with representatives from the Provincial LGU, and was made possible through the full cooperation of MLGOO Gigmoto, Mr. Pio M. Benavidez Jr., LGOO VI, Municipal Mayor Hon. Vicente J. Tayam, Jr., Vice Mayor Hon. Efren T. Tating, SB Members, the SB Secretary, and staff.
