Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counselling (PMOC) | July 12, 2023

We have successfully conducted the PMOC for the 6 couples in collaboration with the Office of Local Civil Registry and City Health.

The PMOC aims to prepare the said couples about the principles of marriage. The discussion also includes insights on responsible parenthood, family planning, and how to maintain a successful marriage.

Local Population and Development Program sa Dakbayan, Gipalig-on

Suportado sa kasamtangang administrasyon pinaagi ni City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa ug Vice Mayor Tadoy Lugod ang Workshop sa Formulation of the Local Population and Development Plan of Action for Gingoog City nga gipahigayon karon Mayo 9-12, 2023 sa Penthouse, City Hall nga nagalayon sa pagpalig-on sa lain-laing stratehiya sa PopDev arun mahatagan og pagtagad ang teenage pregnancy, responsible parenthood and family planning, adolescent health and development, ug uban pang concerns.

Gipanghingusgan ni RD Neil Aldrin Omega uban sa ahensya sa POPCOM nga mamahimong andam ang matag lokal nga pangagamhanan mahitungod sa Philipine Population and Development Program (PPDP) ug Devolution Transition Plan (DTP) arun makahimo kini og haom nga aksyon sa mga capacity gaps sa implementasyon sa programa. Gipaabot usab ni PPO Chief Andrew Gapuz ang hugot nga suporta ni Gov. Peter M. Unabia sa mga programa sa POPCOM Gingoog pinaagi sa pag-alokar niini og pundo alang sa mga Barangay Population Volunteers.

Ang maong workshop gitambungan sa mga representante gikan sa lain-laing buhatan sa lokal nga pangagamhanan, religious sector, health sector, ug mga NGOs, ug mga personahe gikan sa POPCOM X, POPCOM Gingoog, ug Provincial Population Office arun ipaabot ang ilang pakighiusa sa paghatag og igong importansya sa pagplano sa Local Population and Development Program.

Topics discussed were:
Implementing Mechanisms for EO 141 - Adopting as a National Priority the Implementation of measures to address the root causes of the rising number of teenage pregnancies;

Presentation of the EO 141 Comprehensive Action Plan; and

Workshop on Action Planning for the Adolescents of Gingoog City
