APPRECIATION POST!
The Gingoog City Jail, under the leadership of Acting City Jail Warden JSINSP RENE MICHAEL B GUANGCO, extends its heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to Department of Social Welfare and Development through Mr. Rey B. Torresand Ms. Ernita E. Ayuban, as well as the local PhilHealth through Ms. Sahara Gay Onday, Social Insurance Officer II, for their invaluable support and partnership in advancing the welfare of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).
Through the dedicated coordination and facilitation efforts of SJO1 Mary Grace A Sidayen, Unit Nurse; JO1 Zachary Bliss M Rodriguez, Unit Liaison Officer; and JO1 Trizia B Elumba, Unit Psychometrician, sixty-eight (68) qualified PDL were successfully enrolled under the DSWD-AICS Medical Assistance for Maintenance Medicine Program, granting them three (3) months’ worth of maintenance medicines essential for the management of chronic medical conditions. Likewise, the successful issuance of two hundred fifty-three (253) PhilHealth Identification Cards and Member Data Records significantly increased healthcare coverage to approximately ninety-eight percent (98%) of the total PDL population.
These accomplishments reflect the strong collaboration among partner agencies in ensuring accessible healthcare services and reaffirm a shared commitment to promoting the health, dignity and overall welfare of every PDL under our custody. The Gingoog City Jail remains deeply grateful for this continued support in building a more responsive and humane custodial service.
