Empowering GLMPC Through Stronger Partnership

On August 26, 2026, the Gingoog Limited Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GLMPC) welcomed Lindy P. Valdevilla, REA, MPA, Acting City Cooperative Development Officer, for a productive meeting and consultation with the GLMPC Board of Directors at their office.

Together with Ms. Amor N. Golis, GLMPC Area Focal Person, the discussion focused on providing deeper understanding of the Credit Surety Fund (CSF) and exploring opportunities that can help strengthen and advance the cooperative.

Acting CDO Lindy P. Valdevilla shared valuable guidance and direction on how GLMPC can further improve its operations, strengthen its organization, and create greater opportunities for its members.

Through collaboration, guidance, and commitment, we continue building stronger cooperatives and a stronger Gingoog City.

Serving Communities Through EGC Cares

The City Cooperative Development Office, under the leadership of Lindy P. Valdevilla, REA, MPA, Acting City Cooperative Development Officer, proudly joined the service initiatives of EGC Cares, led by Mayor Eric G. Cañosa, bringing meaningful assistance and public service closer to the people of Gingoog City.

The activity served the communities of Barangay Alagatan, Barangay Binakalan, and Barangay Capitulangan, and was successfully held at Binakalan Elementary School, Barangay Binakalan, Gingoog City.

This initiative reflects our shared commitment to responsive governance, inclusive community service, and bringing government programs directly to our people.

Together, we continue to serve, empower, and build stronger communities.

WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN TO BE A COOPERATIVE? 🤝

Under Article 3 of Republic Act No. 9520 — the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008, a cooperative is more than just an organization. It is a community of people who voluntarily come together because of a common interest and shared aspirations.

Members contribute fairly to the capital, patronize the cooperative’s products and services, and accept their fair share of both the risks and benefits of the undertaking.

That is the heart of genuine cooperation. 💚

We don’t simply join a cooperative—we participate.
We don’t simply invest—we patronize.
We don’t simply receive benefits—we share responsibilities.

Because a strong cooperative is built not by one person, but by members who understand that ownership comes with participation, responsibility, and cooperation. 🌱🤝

Strengthening Cooperative Partnerships

On August 12, 2026, Lindy P. Valdevilla, REA, MPA, Acting City Cooperative Development Officer of Gingoog City, participated in the MCDOs/CCDOs, MCDC/CCDC Chairpersons, and Cooperative Stakeholder's Regular Monthly Meeting held in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental.

The meeting served as a valuable platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and strengthening partnerships among local cooperative development offices, councils, and cooperative stakeholders.

The City Cooperative Development Office of Gingoog City remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote stronger cooperatives, inclusive economic growth, and sustainable community development.
