A total of 2,030 residents in the municipality of Ivisan, Capiz benefited from the free 10-kilo rice assistance under the “Bigay Bigas Para sa Masa” component of the “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” (BBM) program of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The initiative, launched by President Marcos in February this year, aims to strengthen local government units (LGUs) and bring government assistance closer to communities.

Reason: Correction of hotspot at the terminal pad of the line-associated Current Transformer at Nasipit Substation.

The Philippine Commission on Women welcomes and strongly supports the Supreme Court’s Resolution in G.R. No. 274842 dated June 29, 2026, affirming that violence against women does not become less harmful—or less punishable—because it is committed through a digital platform.

The case involved psychological violence under Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 (Anti-VAWC Act), committed through a publicly accessible Facebook post. The Supreme Court affirmed the conviction and ruled that Facebook qualifies as an information and communications technology system. Consequently, the higher penalty under Republic Act No. 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (Cybercrime Prevention Act), applied.

For the PCW, the ruling affirms a fundamental principle: violence against women remains violence, regardless of where or how it is perpetrated. Digital platforms must not become spaces where abuse is normalized, amplified, or allowed to evade accountability.

Napulo ka mga estudyante gikan sa Tuguegarao City ang matag usa nakadawat og ₱20,000 nga educational assistance pinaagi sa Bawat Barangay Makikinabang (BBM) Program ni Presidente Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Dakong tabang kini nga pinansyal alang sa mga estudyante aron mapadayon nila ang ilang pag-eskwela ug matubag ang ilang mga panginahanglanon sa edukasyon.

Niadtong Agosto 26, 2026, lima ka mga estudyante gikan sa Barangay Annafunan East ang nakadawat sa maong ayuda atol sa distribution event, nga gitambongan usab sa ilang mga ginikanan.
