The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Poblacion, Glan, Sarangani Province warmly welcomes its new SK Chairperson as SK Member Teodore John Naraga officially took his oath of office on July 15, 2026, in Glan, Sarangani Province.

The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Mayor Victor James โ€œTataโ€ B. Yap, Sr., and witnessed by Barangay Poblacion Officials, Barangay Captain Candelaria P. Yap and Barangay Kagawad Arla Mae Lara, CPA.

SK Chair Naraga assumed office by means of succession after former SK Chair Joshua M. Balansag, RCrim resigned to pursue his career in criminal justice, specifically in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Congratulations, SK Chair Naraga, and welcome to the SK Federation Family! We wish you all the best as you lead the youth of Poblacion!

The Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan (PPSK) of Glan successfully conducted a Special Meeting with our invited guests, Ms. Ma. Fritzie A. Espaรฑol and Mr. Jovencio Sentillas Jr.

The meeting focused on important updates regarding the GEMS for SK Assessment, including the continuation of the assessment in the Municipality of Glan for SK barangays. The body also discussed and laid down initial plans for the upcoming Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 this August, particularly the proposed activities, programs, and preparations to ensure a meaningful and impactful celebration for the youth of Glan.

Following the meeting, each SK Chairperson received 5 kilograms of rice, grocery packs, and 6 liters of drinking water through the generosity of the DOLE and Kasilak Development Foundation, Inc.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our sponsors for granting our request to include all SK Chairpersons in this assistance. As frontliners dedicated to serving our communities every day, this gesture of support is truly appreciated.

The Municipality of Glan is one of the most heavily affected areas by the Magnitude 7.8 Earthquake that struck Mindanao on June 8, 2026. Houses, roads, bridges, and buildings were severely damaged. Many were injured, and at least three deaths were recorded. Everyone was affected, and "devastation" is an understatement to describe the situation.

However, resilience is one of the positive Filipino traits. With your help, we can rebuild our community from the rubble of these ruins, one step at a time.
