Demonstrating deep knowledge of local culture, heritage, and destination management, Eiron Josh B. Ballesteros of RJDAMA emerged as the Champion during the Municipal Inter-Senior High School Tourism Quiz Bee 2026, held today, September 4, 2026, at the Gonzaga Riverview Resort.

Guided by his coach Ma'am Alpha H. Agcaoili, Ballesteros emerged at the top across senior high schools in the municipality where competitive showcase of tourism awareness and academic excellence took the spotlight today.

Eiron will represent our municipality in the upcoming Provincial Tourism Quiz Bee in Tuguegarao this September 11, 2026.

Gonzaga National High School secured 1st Runner-Up through the efforts of Zhannder Dhave S. Suetos and his coach, Sir John Rod S. De La Cruz. Meanwhile, Jerome E. Ponce, coached by Sir Sean Gabriel S. Laguatan representing SAAG Incorporated, earned the 2nd Runner-Up spot.

Organized by the Municipal Tourism Office in celebration of the Nationwide Tourism Month Celebration with the theme "Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism", the event aims to foster local tourism pride, promote cultural heritage awareness, and empower youth advocates across Gonzaga.

We also extend our sincere acknowledgement to our dear panel of judges: Dr. Jay F. Omotoy, Dr. Shiena Marie R. Gaño, and to our PSDS who served as the chairman of the board of judges, Dr. Mario S. Ascueta, to our Quiz Master, Sir Mark Kevin I. Vicente, and to all who participated and joined the event and for continuously making our town truly "nakarimrimat".

CSU-Gonzaga College of Hospitality Management and Gonzaga Tourism Office are Joining Hands in Bringing You Exciting Activities for this Year's Tourism Month Celebration.

​The 4th-year College of Hospitality Management (CHM) students from Cagayan State University - Gonzaga Campus successfully pitched their activity proposals to the Gonzaga Tourism Office under the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) program for the upcoming Tourism Month Celebration 2026 this September.

The Philippine Coast Guard Sub-Station Gonzaga coordinates with the Gonzaga Tourism Office to enhance tourist safety and disaster preparedness during severe weather.

The meeting focused on establishing strict emergency protocols for high-risk destinations to landslides, flash floods, and storm surges during these times when typhoons are very apparent.

Both agencies reinforced protocols for temporary trail closures, mandatory evacuations, no-sail directives, and swimming bans, while streamlining search and rescue operations alongside MDRRMC guidelines.

Less than a day away from the coronation night, the runway is about to get even hotter! 18 dashing and demure candidates are ready to vie for the Mr. and Ms. Teen Gonzaga 2026 crowns.

Mark your calendars and free up your schedules! Tomorrow, Aug. 19, is the coronation night of Mister and Miss Teen Gonzaga 2026. The program starts at 7 p.m. at the Gonzaga People's Gymnasium.
