The Sangguniang Bayan of Governor Generoso conducted a Public Hearing on August 11, 2026, at the New Municipal Gymnasium.

The hearing provided an avenue for concerned individuals, organizations, and stakeholders to share their views, concerns, and recommendations on proposed municipal ordinances concerning important matters of public interest, including:

โ€ข Rules and procedures in administrative cases against elective barangay officials before the Sangguniang Bayan;
โ€ข Regulation of videoke machines and other amplified audio devices within the Municipality;
โ€ข Prohibition of drinking liquor and intoxicating beverages in public places;
โ€ข Prohibition of being topless or half-naked in public places; and
โ€ข Imposition of curfew hours for minors within the Municipality.

The Office of the Provincial Vice Governor, led by Hon. Ma. Glenda Monette Rabat-Gayta, paid a courtesy call to the Sangguniang Bayan of Governor Generoso and was warmly received by Vice Mayor Hon. Following the courtesy visit, Vice Governor Rabat-Gayta and her delegation conducted a coordination meeting with the Sangguniang Bayan officials and employees in preparation for Sanggaling 2026: Inter-Sanggunian Friendship Games. The activity aims to foster camaraderie, strengthen collaboration, and promote unity among the different Sanggunians across the Province of Davao Oriental.

The 19th Legislative Council of the Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Governor Generoso convened its 53rd Regular Session, presided over by Temporary Presiding Officer Hon. Vic Angelo S.
