𝐂𝐒𝐅𝐏 𝐫𝐞-𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐢𝐭𝐬 “𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐔𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭” 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓-𝐈𝐈𝐃𝐁 𝐈𝐓-𝐁𝐏𝐌 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫
The DICT-ICT Industry Development Bureau together with the DICT Region III and in partnership with the City Government of San Fernando, Pampanga and DOLE Region III, conducted the CSFP IT-BPM Expo last September 30, 2025 at SM City Pampanga.
An initiative under the Digital Cities Program, the event aims to decentralize IT-BPM opportunities from Metro Manila and stimulate countryside development across the Philippines. With the incorporation of a job hiring session, the event is in alignment with the DICT’s ‘Trabahong Digital’ initiative which aims to create 8 million digital and digitally-enabled jobs by 2028.
Beginning with a learning session, the event provided an overview of the IT-BPM Industry, highlighting career opportunities, in-demand job roles, and upskilling requirements to prepare jobseekers in jumpstarting their careers in the industry.
Through the collaboration of various organizations, the IT-BPM Expo has attracted over 386 participants and hosted 12 IT-BPM companies ready to offer various employment opportunities namely Teleperformance, Alorica, Eastwest BPO, Remote Employee, Sutherland, Scrubbed, Iqor, Cloudstaff, Coronis, Med-Metrix, Connext and Beepo. The event was able to connect Fernandino jobseekers seeking opportunities and career advancement in the IT-BPM industry.
City Mayor Vilma Caluag, through a video message, expressed her support for the event and emphasized its role in achieving Zero Unemployment for the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, she added “Naniniwala kami na sa technology and innovation nakasalalay ang susunod na hakbangin ng lungsod natin”. Moreover, Atty. James Francis Villanueva, City ICT Officer of San Fernando, Pampanga, also reiterated the significance of the initiative, stating “What we are achieving today is not just progress on paper but a progress that creates jobs, uplifts families, and proves that the IT-BPM Industry is a backbone of opportunity”. This represents the shared commitment of the City Government of San Fernando, Pampanga and the DICT in leveraging ICT as a key driver of inclusive economic growth.
During the learning session, key industry partners from the IT-BPM Industry, represented by Ms. Zoe Diaz De Rivera of IBPAP, Ms. Haidee Enriquez of CCAP, Mr. Vincent Remo of HIMAP, and Ms. Ayn Ingking of PSIA, shared the potential of their industries in providing well-paid employment opportunities and emphasized the importance of continuous upskilling, innovation, and collaboration to ensure long-term growth and global competitiveness. They also shed light on the misconceptions surrounding the IT-BPM sector, clarifying its diverse career paths, sustainable growth prospects, and its vital role in driving the country’s digital economy.
Meanwhile, Ms. Joy M. Gallardo, Senior Manager of Scrubbed, shared various tips and strategies in jumpstarting one’s career in the industry. She emphasized the importance of building foundational skills, continuous upskilling, and having great communication skills to help jobseekers standout in a competitive industry. At the same time, Mr. Ruffy Galang, CEO of Remote Employee, dispelled the stigma surrounding the IT-BPM industry. He emphasized that it is not limited to call centers but also encompasses diverse fields across global companies without having to leave the country.
CSFP IT-BPM Career Expo is the fourth leg of the Digital Cities Program's IT-BPM Career Fair and is set to conduct two more legs this 2025 in Roxas City and General Santos City.
