iLAB Guiguinto welcomes our visitors from the University of South Australia, in partnership with Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Sto. Tomas, last November 18, 2025.

Our foreign students were able to experience not just our usual hospitality but also got the chance to have their hands-on training on tissue culture as they perform culture cloning under the guidance of our Lab Specialist, Ma'am Cecil Santos.

Indeed, iLAB Guiguinto is setting the standard to educational tours by scientific and cultural approaches.

Pinangunahan ni DOST Philippines Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. ang inagurasyon ng kauna-unahang local government-owned and managed tissue culture laboratory para sa ornamental plants sa bansa, na matatagpuan sa Guiguinto, ang Garden Capital of Bulacan.

Ang bagong pasilidad na iLAB Guiguinto ay nakalocate malapit sa Tabang Interchange, sa dulo ng North Luzon Expressway at koneksyon nito papuntang Manila North.

Opisyal nang pinasinayaan ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ang Innovative Tissue Culture Laboratory (iLAB Guiguinto) at ang Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) Bulacan sa Barangay Sta. Cruz, Guiguinto—isang makasaysayang hakbang tungo sa pagpapatatag ng industriya ng ornamental plants sa lalawigan ng Bulacan.

Sa tulong ng DOST Region III Grants-in-Aid Program at ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Guiguinto, layunin ng proyekto na higit pang ilapit ang agham sa komunidad at isulong ang inklusibong pag-unlad sa pamamagitan ng pananaliksik at inobasyon.

Ang naturang pagpapasinaya ay kasabay din ng rehiyonal na selebrasyon na may temang “Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan,” na nagbibigay-diin sa patuloy na misyon ng DOST na maghatid ng maunlad at sustenableng kinabukasan para sa bawat Pilipino.

Ang iLAB Guiguinto ay patunay ng sama-samang pagsisikap upang dalhin ang agham, teknolohiya, at inobasyon nang mas malapit sa bawat Guiguinteño.
