NEGOLINKS 2026 IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN IN BORACAY! 🌴🥥

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region VI has officially opened NegoLinks 2026: Connecting Businesses today, September 26, 2026, at the La Carmela de Boracay Hotel, Malay, Aklan!

Elevated into a full-scale Regional Trade Fair this year, this flagship initiative brings together our hardworking coconut farmers, processors, and MSMEs from across Western Visayas to link directly with institutional buyers, hotels, resorts, and tourism key players.

The grand opening ceremony was graced by key leaders and regional officials, including Malay Municipal Mayor Hon. Frolibar S. Bautista, OIC BSMED Myrtle Faye L. Solina (representing Usec. Blesila A. Lantayona), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Region VI Manager Dr. Neil J. Melencion, DTI Region VI Acting Regional Director Mutya D. Eusores and DTI Region VI Acting Assistant Regional Director Romel L. Amihan. Their presence marked a powerful milestone in expanding market access and building sustainable value chains for our local coconut industry. 🛍️

In support of Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day and the 34th National Family Week (Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 136), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Office VI, along with our Provincial Offices and Negosyo Centers across Western Visayas, will have a half-day work suspension on Monday, September 28, 2026.

🕗 Office Hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 NN

🛑 Work Suspension Begins: 1:00 PM

This brief suspension allows our hardworking team members to celebrate the value of family and share a meaningful meal at home.

Regular operations will restart on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Thank you for your understanding, and we wish everyone a happy National Family Week!

Project Gabay Katutubo 2.0 with Serbisyo Caravan for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) Toward Inclusive Development

During the conduct of Project Gabay Katutubo 2.0 with Serbisyo Caravan for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) Toward Inclusive Development at the San Nicolas, Buenavista Gymnasium on September 24, 2026, various government services and assistance were made available to Indigenous Peoples (IP) participants. The activity was implemented through the collaborative efforts of the Community and Public Development (CPD) and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), together with participating government agencies.

Ms. Verna Belegera, STIDS-CARP of DTI Region VI, discussed the various programs and services offered by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through its designated booth. She provided participants with valuable information on available government assistance, programs, and support for entrepreneurs and community members.

Meanwhile, Ms. Melecia Pait discussed Consumer Rights and Responsibilities, equipping the participants with essential knowledge to become informed, responsible, and empowered consumers.

DTI staff also manned the DTI booth, where participants were provided with business counseling and assistance. They accommodated inquiries, answered business-related concerns, and provided guidance to participants seeking information on entrepreneurship, business registration, and other DTI services.

The activity served as an avenue to bring government services closer to Indigenous Peoples and promote inclusive economic development through accessible information, business support, and consumer education.

𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞: 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬 𝐌𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐬

The DTI Guimaras Negosyo Center Team gathered for its Monthly Negosyo Center (NC) Meeting on September 24, 2026, in San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras, coming together with renewed purpose and a shared commitment to better serve the province’s MSMEs.

The meeting began with an inspiring reflection from Rejoice Orquia, who shared Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight". The message served as a meaningful reminder for the team to carry out their work with faith, humility, and dedication.

The team discussed key updates and priorities, including Negosyo Center targets, ongoing initiatives, implementation strategies, identified challenges and risks, and action plans to further improve the assistance and services provided to MSMEs.

As the meeting concluded, the team was reminded that every plan and discussion ultimately leads to one purpose—to be more responsive, more prepared, and more committed in helping Guimaras MSMEs navigate their entrepreneurial journey.

With teamwork, compassion, and a heart ready to serve, the DTI Guimaras Negosyo Center Team continues to stand with MSMEs—supporting their ideas, strengthening their businesses, and helping create opportunities for growth.
