Led by Acting Jail Warden SJO4 Gregorio DC Agustin II, together with SJO3 Antonio S Cubid Jr., Unit VRP Officer, the activity emphasized the importance of prayerfulness, faith, and positive values in public service.

On May 19, 2026, personnel of Guimbal District Jail, headed by Acting Jail Warden SJO4 Gregorio DC Agustin II, actively participated in the Blood Letting Activity organized by the Liga ng mga Barangay Guimbal Chapter (Calampitao Line) held at Brgy. Cabasi Covered Court, in partnership with the Guimbal Primary Care Facility and the Philippine Red Cross.

This meaningful initiative reflects the spirit of volunteerism, compassion, and public service, as BJMP personnel joined other donors and stakeholders in supporting a life-saving cause for the community.

Personnel of Guimbal District Jail, under the leadership of Acting Jail Warden SJO4 Gregorio DC Agustin II, underwent a Rank Inspection on May 18, 2026 conducted by SJO4 Alfred Philip A Alarcon, Regional Executive Senior Jail Officer (RESJO) from BJMP Regional Office 6 together with his team.

The activity aimed to ensure proper wearing of uniforms, ranks, and insignias while promoting discipline, professionalism, and adherence to BJMP standards among personnel.

Thereafter, a Personnel Information and Education (PI & E) session was conducted, highlighting the importance of discipline, accountability, and dedication to public service in the performance of duties.

Guimbal District Jail "OPENING OF SUMMER LEAGUE 2026"

This jail unit successfully conducted the Opening of the Summer League for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) on May 12, 2026, at the facility’s basketball area headed by SJO4 Gregorio DC Agustin II, Acting Jail Warden

The activity aimed to promote camaraderie, sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical wellness among PDLs through healthy recreational activities.

The opening ceremony was highlighted by the symbolic tossing of the ball led by SJO1 Princess C Rivas, Chief IWD, together with Ms. Denise Tibubos, ALS Teacher, officially marking the start of the Summer League.

The activity fostered unity, discipline, and positive engagement among the participating PDL teams.

VRP PI&E Session | Innovation and Creativity

On or about 11:30 AM on May 11, 2026, this jail unit conducted a Values Restoration Program (VRP) during the Personnel Information and Education (PI&E) session with the theme β€œInnovation and Creativity.”

Acting Jail Warden SJO4 Gregorio DC Agustin II, together with SJO3 Antonio S Cubid Jr., Unit VRP Officer, emphasized the importance of using God-given talents, resourcefulness, and positive thinking in promoting rehabilitation, productivity, and harmonious relationships.

The message of Colossians 3:23 was highlighted, encouraging everyone to serve with dedication and sincerity.

SJO1 Donabele M Lumines stressed the value of innovation and creativity in personal growth, teamwork, and positive behavior, while SJO3 Cubid Jr. added that these values strengthen discipline, build confidence, and inspire positive transformation among PDLs and jail personnel.

Strengthening Partnership for Peace and Rehabilitation

Guimbal District Jail participated in the quarterly MPOC and MADAC Meeting held at the SB Session Hall, New Municipal Building, Guimbal, Iloilo.

Headed by SJO4 Gregorio DC Agustin II, Acting Jail Warden representing the unit were SJO3 Antonio S Cubid Jr.,Assistant Warden , SJO1 Princess C Rivas, Unit WD and JO1 Amira Maru M Pelicano, Unit CRS.

During the meeting, the unit presented its accomplishments, including awards received from CSC Region VI and various Gawad Penolohiya recognitions.

The Welfare and Development Section also highlighted its rehabilitation programs and community activities for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

SJO1 Princess C Rivas emphasized the message:
β€œThey only wear yellow, but they are gold,”
highlighting signifying that despite their present circumstances, PDLs possess dignity, worth, and the capacity for positive change and rehabilitation. She further emphasized the importance of continuous support, guidance, and opportunities for transformation to help PDLs become productive members of society.🀍

GUIMBAL District Jail COMMUNITY PANTRY IN JAIL AND COMMUNITY PANTRY ON WHEELS PROGRAM 🀍

In the spirit of bayanihan and community service, Guimbal District Jail successfully conducted the Community Pantry in Jail and Community Pantry on Wheels Program, within the jail facility and selected areas of Guimbal and Tigbauan, Iloilo.

The activity was spearheaded by SJO4 Gregorio DC Agustin, Acting Jail Warden, together with SJO3 Antonio S Cubid Jr., Assistant Warden, and actively participated in by Guimbal District Jail personnel, along with generous donors who shared fresh vegetables, food, and essential goods for distribution.

The program extended assistance to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), visitors, and various members of the community including e-bike drivers, tricycle drivers, gasoline attendants, restaurant crew members, and selected residents of Guimbal and Tigbauan, Iloilo.

Through the Community Pantry on Wheels, support was brought directly to beneficiaries outside the jail facility, widening the reach of assistance and service.

This activity reflects the continued commitment of Guimbal District Jail to promote compassion, unity, and meaningful community engagement.
