🌾 CGIAR–IRRI COLLABORATION ON RICE BREEDING TRIAL

The Office of the Agricultural Services(OAS) Guindulman, in collaboration with CGIAR–International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA- Bohol), successfully conducted a four-day field activity for the Multilocation Rice Breeding Trial in Guindulman, Bohol.
The activity focused on the preparation, establishment, and planning of the different rice trial and lodging set-ups:
🌱 August 25, 2026
Morning: Preparation and construction of seedbeds for the Yield Trial.
Afternoon: Arrival of guests, discussion and planning, and transfer of Lodging Set-up 1 to the rice area.
🌱 August 26, 2026
Pulling of seedlings from Lodging Set-up 1, followed by field layouting and labeling.
🌱 August 27, 2026
Transplanting of seedlings for Lodging Set-up 1 and reseeding of the Yield Trial.
🌱 August 28, 2026
Discussion and planning with the IRRI team for the layout and implementation of the Yield Trial and Lodging Set-ups 2 and 3.
