GUINOBATAN, Albay โ€“ Students of Lower Binogsacan National High School (LBNHS) secured places in the Agri Quiz Bee and Slogan Contest held on August 7, 2026, at the Bicol University Agriculture, Guinobatan, Albay, as part of the AGRIFESTA Longganisa Festival 2026 celebration.

Edralyn Orogo placed second, while Tristan Jade Palaje ranked fourth in the Slogan Contest. The competition carried the theme, โ€œMasarig na Paraoma sa Kadeficilan Kaya, Mauswag na Komunidad ang Resulta.โ€

Meanwhile, LBNHS was represented in the Agri Quiz Bee by Noelyn Osayta, Trisha Mae Gorobao, and Bea Oxina.

The contests aimed to enhance studentsโ€™ knowledge and appreciation of agriculture, encourage creativity, and promote awareness of the importance of agriculture in building resilient and progressive communities.

The activity was organized by the Municipal Government of Guinobatan through the Municipal Agriculture Office in celebration of AGRIFESTA Longganisa Festival 2026.

The LBNHS participants were coached and guided by Cherry O. Patriarca and Elvei P. Nacional, with the support of School Principal Eden I. Bobis.

The LBNHS community congratulates the students, coaches, and school administration for their efforts in representing the school and showcasing the studentsโ€™ knowledge, creativity, and skills in agriculture.

GUINOBATAN, Albay โ€“ The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Guinobatan Municipal Jail conducted a Public Safety Youth Ambassador Symposium for Senior High School students of Lower Binogsacan National High School on August 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

The symposium aimed to strengthen students' awareness of the mandate and functions of the BJMP while promoting crime prevention, public safety, responsible citizenship, and community resilience. It also encouraged the youth to become active partners in fostering peace, order, and public safety within their respective communities.

During the activity, BJMP personnel discussed the agency's role in corrections and rehabilitation, bullying prevention, disaster preparedness, and community-based public safety initiatives. The symposium also highlighted the collaborative efforts of the BJMP, Philippine National Police (PNP), and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in ensuring safer and more resilient communities.

The activity was conducted through the support and approval of Principal I, Eden I. Bobis, who welcomed initiatives that promote leadership, civic responsibility, and public safety awareness among learners.

The symposium forms part of BJMP's continuing commitment to strengthen community engagement and empower young people through meaningful and informative programs.

The program was spearheaded by the BJMP Guinobatan Municipal Jail under the leadership of Jail Inspector Francisco N. Gondiza Jr., Acting Municipal Jail Warden.

GUINOBATAN, Albay โ€“ To strengthen teachers' competence in using digital platforms for school operations, the faculty of Lower Binogsacan National High School (LBNHS) participated in an orientation on the Supporting Parents, Learners, Administrators and Teachers (SPLAT) Application at 3:00 p.m. on July 17, 2026, at the school's Science Laboratory.

The activity opened with a prayer, followed by an inspirational message from LBNHS Principal Eden I. Bobis, who emphasized the importance of embracing digital innovations to improve efficiency in accomplishing teachers' professional responsibilities.

The orientation proper was facilitated by Rene O. Sacayan, ICT Coordinator for Data Management, and Vince Ivan Palomillo, ICT Coordinator for Programs and Projects.

Sacayan discussed the purpose and key features of SPLAT, while Palomillo provided a comprehensive demonstration of the platdform's functions, including account access, profile management, navigation, and the proper use of its tools and features. They also addressed participants' questions and provided clarifications to ensure teachers could effectively utilize the system.

The orientation aimed to equip teachers with the knowledge and technical skills necessary to maximize the use of SPLAT in school processes and data management while supporting the Department of Education's continuing digital transformation initiatives.

Faculty members actively participated throughout the session, making the activity both interactive and informative.

Lower Binogsacan National High School (LBNHS) actively participated in the Simultaneous National Earthquake Drill on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The activity was spearheaded by School Principal Eden I. Bobis, while Mary Ann O. Dasalla, Teacher III, facilitated the orientation and briefing, reminding the students on the importance of earthquake preparedness and the proper safety measures to follow during emrgencies.

Upon hearing the alarm, students immediately performed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure inside their classrooms before calmly and orderly evacuating to the designated safe area. The drill was participated in by all students and teaching personnel.

The activity aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness, raise awareness of earthquake safety measures, and enhance the readiness of learners and school personnel in responding to emergency situations.

Through initiatives such as this, LBNHS continues to foster a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience among its stakeholders.

LOWER BINOGSACAN, Guinobatan, Albay โ€” Lower Binogsacan National High School (LBNHS) successfully conducted four major school activities on June 10, 2026, aimed at strengthening student leadership, enhancing parent-school collaboration, and providing important information to stakeholders.

One of the major activities held during the day was the election of officers for various school clubs and organizations, which commenced at 9:45 a.m. Facilitated by the respective club advisers and teachers, the activity allowed learners to actively participate in the democratic process by selecting student leaders who will spearhead various programs and activities throughout the school year.

In the afternoon, Homeroom Parents-Teachers Association (HRPTA) meetings were conducted from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the respective classrooms. Facilitated by class advisers, the meetings focused on important matters such as the new Three-Term Learning System, the revised grading system, school policies, class programs, subject teachers, and the election of HRPTA officers.

Following the homeroom meetings, parents and guardians gathered at the school covered court for the School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) General Assembly. During the meeting, SPTA officials presented updates on school projects and accomplishments for School Year 2025โ€“2026. School Head Mrs. Eden I. Bobis delivered a message to the attendees, followed by the election of a new set of SPTA officers. The assembly further reinforced the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders in achieving the school's goals.

The day's activities concluded with an orientation for learners enrolled in the Night High School Program. Participants were informed about school policies, the new learning system, admission requirements, and academic offerings. The orientation was facilitated by Jayson N. Nidua, Night High School Coordinator. School Head Mrs. Bobis likewise delivered a message, encouraging learners to remain committed to their education and reminding them that learning opportunities are available regardless of age or circumstance.

The successful conduct of these activities highlighted LBNHS's commitment to fostering student leadership, promoting parental involvement, and ensuring that all stakeholders remain informed, engaged, and actively involved in the school's educational endeavors.
