The spirit of sportsmanship was high as LGU Guinsiliban, headed by Mayor Joanne Marie Rubin Tan, and the SK Council, led by SK Chair Mhar F. Aban, successfully concluded the Summer League volleyball games on May 29, 2026 at Don Vicente Chaves Gymnasium, South Poblacion, Guinsiliban, Camiguin.

Congratulations to our incredible winners who dominated the court:

Champion: Barangay Cabuan
2nd Place: Barangay Maac
3rd Place: Barangay Butay

To all the athletes who participated, thank you for showcasing your talent, discipline, and unity. You make our municipality proud!

🤿 Gitigom sa Provincial Tourism Department ug Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Department ang mga representante sa lokal nga panggamhanan sa Guinsiliban ug mga barangay aron hisgutan ang pagpalapad sa mga dive sites sa Camiguin, Mayo 21. Nagtambong usab si Vladimir Elazegui, usa ka dive instructor, aron motan-aw sa kasamtangang kahimtang sa mga dive sites ug sa mga posibleng bag-ong lokasyon alang sa diving activities. Tumong sa maong paningkamot ang pagpalig-on sa turismo samtang gipanalipdan ug gipreserbar ang marine resources sa probinsya.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

Moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over (Medina, Jasaan, Villanueva), (Esperanza, Prosperidad, SantaJosefa, Trento), (Lianga, SanAgustin, Lingig), (Kapalong), (Laak, Monkayo) and within the next 1-2 hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in (Claveria, GingoogCity), (SanLuis, Talacogon, SanFrancisco, Rosario, Bunawan, LaPaz, Loreto, Veruela), (Hinatuan, Tagbina, Barobo and CityOfBislig) which may persist within 1-2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides.

The 22nd Council of LGU Guinsiliban, under the leadership of Acting Vice Mayor Rando L. Waminal, alongside Municipal Mayor Joanne Marie Rubin Tan and our dedicated Department Heads, successfully conducted a public hearing on May 28, 2026 at Don Vicente Chaves Gymnasium, South Poblacion, Guinsiliban, Camiguin for various proposed ordinances.

This legislative milestone is a crucial step toward achieving holistic development for our beloved municipality. By bringing these ordinances to the public, we ensure that the voices, needs, and aspirations of every Guinsilibanon are at the forefront of our local governance.
