The five-day Actual Duty of the Little Municipal Officials and Appointed Little Department Heads has successfully concluded, culminating in a meaningful closing activity that highlighted their insights, experiences, and commitment to youth leadership.
During the activity, the young officials shared their observations on various child-related issues present in their respective schools. Among the key concerns raised were the increasing cases of bullying, violations of proper dress code within school premises, improper waste disposal practices, students spent more time in their mobile phones, and the growing number of students cutting classes. These discussions reflected their awareness of real challenges affecting their fellow learners and the broader school environment.
In response, the young leaders collaboratively formulated practical solutions and recommendations aimed at addressing these concerns, which they committed to implement and carry out within their one-year term of office. Their proposals demonstrated not only critical thinking but also a strong sense of responsibility and initiative in promoting child welfare and discipline within their communities.
The young leaders also took the opportunity to reflect on and share their personal experiences throughout the five-day duty, expressing how the program enhanced their understanding of governance, leadership, and public service.
The closing activity was graced by the presence of Presiding Officer Little Mayor Shannice Abegail Palahang, Atty. Kurt F. Cajeta (Municipal Administrator), Mr. Marciano C. Belotendos (MSWDO), along with the MSWDO staff, whose support and guidance contributed to the success of the program.
