Blessing and Turnover Ceremony | April 8, 2026

A significant milestone for the Municipality of Guipos as we successfully conducted the Blessing and Turnover Ceremony of the DILG Municipal Field Office, Liga ng mga Barangay and SK Federation Office.

The event was graced by distinguished leaders, including Engr. Vicente P. Cajeta, who delivered the keynote address; PD Dave M. Barrot represented by Teresita Catalbas, who shared a special message; and Engr. Carmelo Enrique B. Libot, who inspired participants through his message.

Spiritual guidance was led by Rev. Fr. Leonard Realiza, OSA during the blessing of the office, while Hon. Osias L. Apog delivered the welcome remarks. The ceremonial turnover was marked by the acceptance message of Liberty T. Sustento and closing remarks from Hon. John Michael Niño C. Yanoyan.

This momentous event symbolizes unity, collaboration, and our continued commitment to effective and responsive public service for the people of Guipos.

The Municipality of Guipos successfully conducted the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony on Cave Conservation Management and Protection for Guipos Cave on March 26, 2026, held at the 3rd Floor, Municipal Hall, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

This significant undertaking underscores the strong collaboration and shared commitment of partner agencies and local stakeholders in preserving and protecting our invaluable natural resources, ensuring their sustainability for future generations.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished officials and partners, namely:

• Dir. Marie Angelique C. Go – OIC, Regional Executive Director
• George E. Laolao – PENR Officer, Zamboanga del Sur

GUIPOS, Zamboanga del Sur — With vibrant energy, empowered voices, and a strong sense of unity, the Local Government Unit of Guipos successfully culminated its celebration of the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) through a meaningful closing program anchored on the theme, “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”

The month-long celebration highlighted the invaluable role of women in leadership, community development, and cultural preservation—drawing inspiration from the babaylans, the pre-colonial Filipina leaders known for their wisdom, courage, and influence in society. The culminating program gathered women from various barangays, government offices, and partner agencies, showcasing their talents, skills, and advocacies through a series of activities such as the Women Idol competition, sports tournaments, and table display contests. These events not only fostered camaraderie but also celebrated the diverse strengths and contributions of Guiposanon women.

In his message, Hon. Vicente P. Cajeta emphasized the importance of sustaining gender equality efforts and empowering women to take on leadership roles in all sectors. He commended the active participation of women and reaffirmed the LGU’s commitment to promoting inclusive programs and policies.

Meanwhile, awards and recognitions were given to outstanding participants and winners of the different competitions, honoring their excellence, creativity, and dedication throughout the celebration.

As the 2026 NWMC officially came to a close, the LGU of Guipos leaves a resounding message: that every Filipina, like the babaylans of old, holds the power to lead, inspire, and transform communities.

Nagpahigayon karon ang atong Balay Lungsod sa Guipos ug Random Drug Testing alang sa tanang empleyado ug opisyales sa lungsod. Kini nga kalihukan gihimo isip kabahin sa padayon nga paningkamot sa atong lokal nga panggamhanan aron masiguro ang usa ka “Drug-Free Workplace” ug mapalig-on ang disiplina, integridad ug responsibilidad sa serbisyo publiko.

Ang maong kalihukan gipahigayon in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office IX ug sa Provincial Office, nga mitabang sa hustong pagpatuman ug pagmonitor sa proseso sa drug testing.

Pinaagi niini, gipakita sa atong lokal nga pamahalaan ang lig-on nga suporta sa mga programa batok sa ilegal nga droga ug ang padayon nga paningkamot sa pagpalambo sa usa ka malimpyo, matinud-anon, ug responsableng serbisyo alang sa katawhan.
