📢 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The Barangay Council and the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Canawayon would like to formally announce the cancellation of the scheduled basketball and volleyball sports events.

However, in place of the inter-barangay competitions, the activities will proceed in a modified format. A palaro will still be but it will now be conducted as an INTER-PUROK event.

This decision has been made in consideration of the current crisis affecting our community, with the safety and well-being of everyone as our top priority.

We humbly ask for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support.

We are pleased to announce the details of the upcoming _Volleyball and Basketball Tournaments:

_🏐 Volleyball Tournament – Women’s Division_
- _Prizes_:
- 1st place: ₱5,000
- 2nd place: ₱3,000
- 3rd place: ₱2,000

_🏀 Basketball Tournament_
The basketball competition will feature four divisions with the following prizes:

1. _40's Division_
- 1st place: ₱7,000
- 2nd place: ₱5,000
- 3rd place: ₱3,000

2. _Junior Division_
- 1st place: ₱7,000
- 2nd place: ₱5,000
- 3rd place: ₱3,000

3. _Senior Division_
- 1st place: ₱10,000
- 2nd place: ₱7,000
- 3rd place: ₱5,000

4. _Midget Division_
- 1st place: ₱5,000
- 2nd place: ₱3,000
- 3rd place: ₱2,000

🏀 PALARONG PAMBARANGAY 2026 🏐
CALL FOR TEAM LINE-UPS

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. Canawayon, in coordination with the Barangay Council, is now accepting official team line-ups and registrations for the Basketball and Volleyball Inter-Barangay Tournament in celebration of the Fiesta of our Patron Saint, the Holy Family, on April 25–26, 2026.

This annual sports activity aims to promote sportsmanship, unity, discipline, and active participation among the youth and residents of our barangay.

📌 SPORTS CATEGORIES & AGE BRACKETS

🏀 Basketball Division
•Midget Division: 17 under
• Junior Division: 18-25 years old
• Senior Division: 26-39 years old
• 40’s Division: 40-50 years old

🏐 Volleyball Division
• women's Division

📌 PLAYER ELIGIBILITY RULES

Players must be bonafide residents of the Barangay.

Each player must present a valid ID or barangay certification for verification.

A player may only represent one team and one category throughout the tournament.

Age eligibility shall be based on the player’s age on or before the opening day of the tournament.

Teams must submit a complete and final line-up before the deadline. No addition or substitution of players shall be allowed once the tournament officially begins, unless approved by the organizing committee for valid reasons.

Participants in 40’s division who are 50 years above are required to submit a medical certificate issued by licensed physician, certifying that they are physically fit to participate in the tournament.

Teams shall be declared forfeited after 15-20 minutes late from the schedule time.

All participants are required to play with upper uniform.

Start of the raffle of the game is on APRIL 20, 2026 after the Parade and Band exhibition.

Must attend the parade (if the player cannot attend the parade is not allowed to play in their first game)

All participants must sign a waiver/consent form prior to playing.

this requirement is implemented to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all players.

📅 Submission Period: April 3-19, 2026
📄 Requirements:
• Official Team Name
• Complete Line-up of Players
• Designated Team Manager/Representative
• Photocopy of Valid ID / Barangay Certification
• Signed Waiver/Consent Form

All team managers and representatives are strongly advised to comply with the submission deadline to ensure proper scheduling and bracket preparation. Late and incomplete submissions may not be accommodated.

The Sangguniang Kabataan encourages everyone to participate responsibly and uphold fairness, respect, and discipline throughout the competition.

Calling all Basketball & Volleyball Enthusiasts📢🏀

Once again, Barangay Canawayon will be celebrating annual fiesta on April 26 & 27 2025 in honor of our patron Saint "THE HOLY FAMILY "

We are excited to invite you to participate in our upcoming Basketball / Volleyball Tournament that will be held on April 22, 2025 at Barangay Canawayon Covered court. Don't miss on this chance to be part of our extreme basketball / Volleyball tournament and have a great time!

GROUND RULES:
1.Players must be a resident of the barangay.
2. Protest shall be made prior in the game and players under protest shall not be allowed to play unless he can present a document.
3. Upper uniform is required for all players
4. Players must be included in the submitted line-up
5. Teams must be settling the registration fees prior the game.
6. Teams shall be declared forfeited after 20 minutes late from the schedule time.
7.Must attend the parade (if the player cannot attend the parade is not allowed to play in their first game)
8.NO REGISTRATION FEE, NO GAME POLICY.
