NATIONWIDE OPS YIELD 5 MOST WANTED, OVER ₱38.M DRUG SEIZURE
The Philippine National Police (PNP) posted major accomplishments from 8:00 AM of February 27 to 8:00 AM of February 28, 2026, with the arrest of five Regional Most Wanted Persons and the seizure of over ₱38 million worth of illegal drugs in simultaneous operations nationwide.
Five ranked most wanted persons were arrested through focused manhunt operations. Among them were a Top 1 most wanted in Taguig City facing charges for qualified r**e and related offenses; two Top 5 most wanted in Agusan del Sur and Davao de Oro for statutory r**e and two counts of r**e; a Top 7 in Manila for two counts of lascivious conduct; and a Top 8 in Davao City for murder.
All were arrested by virtue of warrants of arrest and are now under police custody. No bail was recommended for the r**e and murder cases.
Two foreign nationals were also served warrants in Taguig City—a Taiwanese national charged with resistance and disobedience to a person in authority, and a Korean national facing estafa charges.
PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., underscored the importance of sustained efforts.
“Hindi titigil ang PNP sa paghahanap at pag-aresto sa mga taong may kinahaharap na kaso. Justice must be served. Sa bawat pagdakip natin sa mga most wanted, mas nagiging ligtas ang ating mga komunidad,” PGen Nartatez said.
“We owe it to the victims and their families to ensure that those accused face the court of law.”
In anti-drug operations, authorities confiscated drugs with a total standard drug price of ₱38.05 million. This includes eradication operations in the Cordillera Administrative Region and Ilocos Region where over 61,000 ma*****na plants and 40,000 grams of dried leaves worth ₱17.08 million were destroyed. A separate operation in Benguet also led to the discovery, uprooting, and burning of more than 11,250 plants and 84,000 grams of dried leaves with fruiting tops valued at ₱12.33 million.
Buy-bust operations in Quezon, Iloilo, and Muntinlupa City resulted in the arrest of three High-Value Individuals and the confiscation of over 671 grams of shabu worth ₱4.56 million.
Meanwhile, 600 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱4.08 million were recovered along the shoreline of Surigao del Norte after being discovered by a concerned citizen. In Cagayan de Oro City, police confiscated ₱1.2 million worth of smuggled ci******es in coordination with the Bureau of Customs.
An anti-illegal mining operation in Misamis Oriental also led to the arrest of eight individuals and the seizure of mineral ores and processing equipment valued at ₱1,123,595.00.
PGEN Nartatez reiterated that the recent accomplishments reflect the organization’s steady and focused law enforcement efforts in support of the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen peace and order across the country.
“We will continue to perform our duties with focus and fairness. Mula sa wanted persons hanggang sa illegal drugs at iba pang krimen, tuloy-tuloy ang ating pagpapatupad ng batas,” the PGEN Nartatez emphasized.
These results highlight the continuing operational momentum of the PNP in line with its commitment to Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
